hi bit-tech modding community. its been a while. I see my last project here was sometime in 2021. unfortunately i had to pause a bit due to a fire that destroyed all my 36 mods which were intended for a museum. Am currently fighting the fight of my life for at least financial and time compensation. a huge cover up and intimidation has followed for the last three years. now the ultimatum is the end of 2024 then its all going public if not resolved. they were all in a showroom at the company i worked for in berlin. they had a faulty building, provable and soon will be revealed. Anyway, thats the prologue to why the pause. Now its time for the first new project again. Of course I didnt give up and of course I have made more projects and am glad this forum still exists, the last time I looked in was after the fire, wehen i had other things on my mentally stressed mind. I remember something going on about it eventueally being discontinued. but thanks to a mate here I now knows that its still up n running so here goes. As some of you know I had a Project called Piracy and Prophecy. R.I.P. Well that was burnt to death too, so this one is an Hommage to that one. and its called BUCCANEER BOUNTY Its all about pirates with rum bottles, maritime elements and swashbuckling privateers. arrrghhhhh. so here goes. this one is a Scratchbuild. and it all starts of course with,,,,,nope no plan as usual, just a direction. on the fly baby.
Yeah! Buddy, your work was amazing! I'm sorry to hear that. But, I really hope it doesn't make you stare at the wall for the rest of your life. Dann kriegt der Frust uns nicht mehr klein, wir halten zusammen keiner kämpft allein, wir gehen zusammen, nicht allein! Of course, after what happened, I would first do what is sung about in the first verse of this song.
Oh, I stumble half asleep out of your PM, and here you are already. Cool! You got Prometheus so wound up he's talkin' funny.
thanks guys, yeah dont worry, i am cockroach after a nuclear holkocaust, no getting rid of me they killed my art, but the artist lives. the fight aint over but it will soon be public if the perpetrators dont settle yb the end of the year, then you will see what happpened to all the worklog completed stuff i am about to post here. :-( good to be back though. missed this forum a lot.
[/IMG] Ok guys, May i introduce my worklog to THE BUCCANEER BOUNTY. Its an Hommage to my Piracy and Prophecy Mod that won the German Championship and was destroyed together with 36 other mods in the fire at Caseking in 2021. Just like many of my historical themes, this onse also had to be made again, not exactly the same of course. dont like repeating. But its all about Pirates, Ships, Rum soaked swashbucklers and buccaneers as we all like them. PIRATES! In short its a yesterdays "Maritime" theme. its 95% handmade and a fews small 3d printed parts are the skulls, rod spacer bolts for the front glass panel and the name plate as well as the ships helms i made as fan covers. have been schooling myself in cad the löast two years and so using 3d printed parts is new for me, was always preaching "only handmade is man made". I know. anyway. here goes. i started off getting some of the hardware stuck together while waiting for other parts. also printed a skull n crossbones for the front/ bow, after making the eyes as mean as possible.
i got rid of that cheap cpu waterblock btw, the problems in water flow were ****, just not eneough was let through so i went back to a thermaltake pacific block afetr the first tests. together its a mix of thermaltake and alphacool. these are the helms i drew n printed as fan covers.
next step was to start building the chassis from scratch. no plans, just a direction and vision and the memory of my lost pirate mod. once i had sort of figured out what goes where, i starting cutting löasering and marrying pieces together
i always planned on the rum bottle hiding the pump so it was time to integrate that too. i had to cut a few bottles to get the half one i needed intact. they arent made for being halved down the middle and are instable as soon as one ties. so 12 bottles and a head ache later
and the last update for today, will post more tomorrow. i decided to curve the front rather tahn a rectangular form, so to give it a railing later on and make it more shippy a bit like the bow or gunwhale. no guns on this one though like my first pirate. i also made the same hemls fan coivers for the gpu. couldnt find ablock for that so it will remain air cooled. in retrospect i must say optically that was a blessing in disguise. i also fitted out some of the first hard n soft tubes for length ans size.
Yo-ho-ho and a bottle of ram. You're winning at life with the gratuitous burger photo. Now I'm hungry.
time for an update. placed most of the parts in the half done chassis so i could make the podium for the upright gpu.
did some work on the back and made a stable hightening podium for the whole case and fitted the 4 chrome coaster feet. the hinbtack studs are for later on, though ised patin tacks instead
next step was some more 3d designing and printing for the ships bow or rather above gunwhale railing bannisters. i was at a jumble sale on the weekend and found a flourescent compass and decided to integrate it on the top of the terasure chest lid. i also made the front bottom gunwhale that is then click on with magnets to the rod glass holders. also did some more gpu casing work with smaller helms as fan covers
it was then time, after doing some lining work, to start the top and get the chest lid on with all its gooves to imitate planking and the compass cove, as i call it.
i made these big slide on clasps so i can actually take the chest lid off if needed afterwards. you will see in the end
