I've never worried about what my case looks like.
This is because it's in a nice hole n my desk and you can only see the front.
This let's me keep the sides off without anyone really noticing.

I'm fairly experienced modder and overlcocker for the inside of my case, and actual performance related stuff....like fans, heatsinks etc....but mods for looks have never really bothered me.

Anyway, the front of my case is erm...nasty...theres a black drive in it ffs!

Anyhoe, you have around £40 and very little exterior modding experience at your disponsal....make that front pretty!

-sorry about bad quality images had to use other diggi cam.

    Hmm, some quick thoughts...

Well, paint it. Two tone with the little side plastic things a stark contrast to the rest.

The way the top part is set back a bit...maybe you could use some coloured plexi and build a door to cover the drives. Throw some LEDs behind it for a pretty glow, might look nice.

What is that big thing in the middle? A big power button? That may be fun to play with...paint it and build a power button with an led in it...make one out of chrome etc...

-Drive fronts the same blue as the strips.
-Plexi door for top half with some LEDs behind it in a drive bay.

and yea its a giant power button, and led in it is a good idea.

basiclly theres 2 cathodes mounted on the outside of the case with plastic bits to cover the ends of the cathodes, should give a nice glow.
    (sorry for the crappy drawing)

Right heres what i've gone with in the end.

-Spray drive fronts same blue as those side stips.
-Make plexi door for drive bay section.
-Mount Super bright triple LEDs behinde this plexi door.
-Mount 80mm Coloured bright LED fan in the 2 spare drive bay fronts.
-Replace the drive bay under the disk drive with small fan controller (already found)

Getting a New psu and some extra fans also, along with all that stuff up there brings me to about £50...buts that because of the psu...

should look...blue...but i blame the apintjob for that :p

    Cheers!
