I don't think he has any dirt on Boris, Boris isn't subtle enough to hide his dirt in the first place. Dom is very much the Stephen to Boris' Calvin Candie, he's running the show whilst Boris and chums are the face. Without him they're lost and they all know that, none more so than Boris himself, who Dom has carried from political side show to the Prime Minister who delivered Brexit (and thus Godhood in his own mind). They're going to defend him to the death.

Of course the sub gave the dom his full backing, if he would have fired him then he would have had to fire like half his Cabinet as well for their participation in the orchestrated defence campaign yesterday. So he'll just have to weather the storm now, actions have consequences and all that.
If the consequences will be meaningful for once or if it will blow over as usual remains to be seen (I'd put my money on the latter), but yes the current shitstorm is the consequence of his action to reflexively jump to the defence of DurhamDom.
But the 'shitstorm' isn't consequences, it's all just noise... 'sound and fury, signifying [and achieving] nothing'... Boris will escape consequence, Cummings will escape consequence. Trump will escape consequence. Consequences is for plebs. **** the lot of them.
I get where you are coming from but with FPTP and FTPA providing an extreme measure of protection for those in power there ain't much that can be done about it.
