Why on earth would you announce on a Thursday, before a weekend which appears to be great weather, that from the following Monday larger groups of people can meet up. Do they honestly think people are going to hold off meeting up?
I don't watch debates and such, just leads to getting riled up with no outlet, but this savage questioning is legitimately entertaining. That Sky News guy was witty.
Based on the actions of my neighbours and the wider community - 'over' implies it ever properly started.
Sure, but this thread was pretty vehement that the rules were being followed as long as bubbles etc. weren't introduced. Apparently that would be the point we'd see people 'take the piss'.
The people two doors down from us have had relatives over almost daily since lockdown started. They just do not give a ****. Usually it's the guy's brother plus his wife and kids, but they've also had full family gatherings with the grandparents too. Meanwhile, the neighbour between us and them is a 90 year old lady. Their kids (and nieces/nephews) have been in and out of her garden fetching toys and balls that have gone over the fence. At one point they actually bothered to knock on her front door to ask for their ball back, but then all three of their kids traipsed through her house to retrieve it whilst the parents stood watching. Genuinely unbelievable, and our elderly neighbour was absolutely livid.

I think that boat sailed a long time ago, we're just getting slapped round the face with the mooring bill now.
Oh but that wasn't our hard working benevolent government, that was the cruel and heartless National Health Service who's inefficiency and inflexibility caused this crisis in the first place. There will have to be an inquiry into this horrible and irresponsible breach of the public's trust... ... this is a convenient distraction to pop out of the woodwork right now, considering this must have been known about for months. Unrelated, I look forward to seeing what the GOC's updated guidelines for eyecare services and testing will be tomorrow, since it will be my job to implement them.
We should vociferously villify the very villainy that vainly vents its vague vacuous vapid variety of venom.
Okay so I tried reading the letter from the Speaker but I don't understand this: If the main purpose is to bring forward a motion so that the HoC can decide on how decisions can be handled as they claim then why wasn't this already done while the remote voting system was in place? This just makes no sense? (unless you want to suspect some extremely dodgy motives)
