At this stage, Clinton wasn't as far ahead as Biden is, though.

Anyway, this is all speculation and counter-speculation and quite frankly, arguing over whether Trump is playing 4D chess or 5D chess feels pretty pointless!

I'm sceptical of all the polls for one reason:

    People lie.

People dumb enough to vote for him and be proud of it are the polls idea of his "base".

People dumb enough to vote for him, but not dumb enough to broadcast it, aren't going to reflect in the polls either through not answering them, or lying.

People dumb enough to vote for him, smart enough to be profiting off this disaster artist of a president, are also smart enough to not admit to voting for him, whether they answer polls or not.

EG: Theresa May denouncing a bill that she then didn't vote on rather than voting against it. Win the hearts and minds without actually causing yourself a big problem. Except she's a complete moron, and not very good at that tactic.

I hope he loses, I want him to lose, but I don't see his coronavirus status doing anything but putting him on the news for the next two or three weeks.

If it's fake, he announces his recovery in two weeks time, and then gets it for real, I would laugh so hard.

I could see him being so unrelentingly stupid that he convinces himself that he actually had it, and thus is now immune to it and goes around groping anyone and everyone he wants to, while licking all the doorknobs he's missed out on for the last ten months.

I'm going with a 100% fake because catching it and recovering with no ill effects plays into how he's handled the outbreak so far. It moves the news cycle along just like every other scandal about him. At this point there is so many I can't remember very many specific ones which is probably how he keeps getting away with it (information overload).

Can't we leave the paranoid conspiracy rubbish to Trump himself.

I prefer to stick with a reality-based approach. Lets go with the obvious explanation, that he has tested positive, until there is some evidence to the contrary.

Didn't know it could infect robots.

This is probably the first thing they've done together since signing the prenuptials.

Email from the Council earlier this week saying 500 people from Bradford will be picked to participate in a Phase 3 vaccine trial, and an SMS from the NHS today looking for volunteers.

He hasn't tweeted since announcing he's got covid. I think he won't be tweeting as much as usual in the upcoming days.

Unless his COVID diagnosis is fake and that it's a political manoeuver to avoid a 2nd disastrous debate on camera. In 14 days he'll be cured, thanks to chloroquine...

He was magically tweeting while stood at a podium during a live televised debate t'other day, so I wouldn't put too much stock into what his Twitter account does as any indication of what he's actually doing.

Which is rather ironic when you consider that the stuff he yelled at said debate sounded pretty much like him reading from his twitter account.

Now I don't want to indulge in wild speculation, but this doesn't sound like a minor case of the sniffles, does it?

I read something recently. Very well written. It goes into many things. I won't claim to be smart enough for all of it. But there are 2 looong pages and many of the points have sources or papers linked. You guys like to debate, right?
Have an eye-full. You can enjoy it if nothing else.

    [Gibberish lunacy removed]

So don't quote me on this. Like I say I'm not smart enough for some of this rabbit hole. But I know you guys love a chin-wag. Also, actually read it.

[Edit] Right err. Some browsers might block links? The blue words link to other articles and sometimes to papers. I forgot]

Well I tried to read that, I got as far as "they control the MSM," and that guy's a nutter. I persevered and read a bit further, but he's angry at everything, is making conspiracies about everything (the WHO rapidly came up with strategy for dealing with Covid 19, too rapidly for his liking, he finds it suspicious that the organisation dedicated to the eradication of diseases had a plan for containing a disease). I clicked on his links too, some go to genuine news, many go back to his own articles and the rest go to alt-right conspiracy sites.

Every so often he hits upon a point I somewhat agree with (the ruling class is trying to drive down living standards to increase their power) but it's much the same way a canister shell hits it's target, because it saturates the area in violent destruction.

While I'm at it the guy's an anti vaxxer too.

    Nut.
    Job.
