Had a phone call this morning to say that my work colleague who contracted Covid at the end of August last year died this morning. He was 64, no vaccines and probably knackered lungs from breathing car filler dust all his working life; these guys just didn't seem to wear masks. He was in an induced coma for 6 weeks, made it through Pneumonia and was in hospital until earlier this year. I spoke to him a month ago, he was walking with a frame, didn't need oxygen, but had v little energy. A lot of suffering and still died after supposedly turning the corner...
Geez, that's awful, must have been a terrible blow for his family for him to almost pull through like that. 64
