looks good, but I have to say that those welds need to be ground down abit. It will really enhance the look of the construction.
oooohhh... No work on the case today, due to overtime at work... but... money in the pocket is also good.. BTW: "JaredC01" good to see that someone is awake... and.. to share my experience with grinding down the alu.. first i tryed with a BIG belt sander, this ended up beeing too unpresice, so than i tryed using a sanding-bit on my dremel, good result, but using two sandpaper-thingys on one weld, seemed to be hopeless (3 welds in one corner and 8 cornes x 2 on each weld = 48 sandpaper-things = uneconomic) than i tryed using a cutting-disc (the ones that ain't reinforced) this ended up giving a wery good result, but the discs breake easily.. so with my great brain, i decided to put three discs on at the same time... and WOW.. what a great idea.. perfect result, and no flying pieces of discs.. only thing, after half of the cornes were done, they shrunk wery fast, and ended up as small as they can get.. so I just replaced them..
Well, the cuber is currently on a standstill, eh, the case anyways, becouse I have to make the controller for the case, btw: HERE and while waiting for the electronic-parts to arrive, I'm dooing some work on my car, btw: HERE BUT, the work i did some nights ago, and some after thet, I'll prove to you well, the panel on the left, and the front-panel (exept from the plates over the drives) are also finished, but that were done after the pic. was taken..
I just may take a pic a that, but you have to wait a while.. as I'm at a friends house now.. (Oh, yes, belive it or not, I have friends ) and I'm happy to report that the job on my car i done now, I exchanged some gaskets, starter, radiator and other stuff... two days work... BTW: I would be happy if anyone says something good about my car..
Oh, and the coughing means you have something negative to say about it? Oh, and by the way, it's dark dark blue, painted by a drunk person (friend of the person i bought i from..) so it's got a nice texture to it..
correct me if im wrong now, but is the big LED really huge or is it just the pic? otherwise everything looks top notch. perhaps the black case handles could be changed into some metal ones to go with the overall case theme. would look way better, imho MOD ON !
It's big allright, 1cm dia, whilst the other ones are 5mm. huge amount of light, but very directed, almost as a laser (but not quite) and the amazing thing, it's 1,7v/20mA, so the size makes the optics better.
I second that.. btw... almost done doing the schematic-part of my "computer-controlled, computer-controll" and.. thanks to "SteveyG" it'l probably work to..
auch.. really got to get myself together... havent done ANYTHING on the case since last time.. I'm just so darn lazy... but now, it's snowy outside, so maby, just maby i manage to do some work on it.. also, it's getting annoying to have a half-done computer-case on my desk.. also it is a great dust-collector.. OHSO LAZY, lazy, lazy, lazy
you will, have to take a pic.. anyways, I think I have to change them thou, as they just (very intensive) light up one spot, and I want flood-light, so I think a good way to fix that, is to make 2-4 long stips og LED's...
