This guy found a pound on his birthday, and decided to buy something nice with it. Ended up with a yacht and private island.

Giroud is finally back for Arsenal and no other injury concerns ahead of the game so it should be interesting but as Newcastle have little to play for it should be a Arsenal win.

I remember '98. A bar in Vancouver, Shattered atmosphere etc etc.
    The b******s!!!!

If I was Pardew I would aim for 9th or 10th place finishes for a couple of seasons to build a team up that can handle the Prem and FA comfortably, Then when we get some number strength try and tackle the Prem/ChL/FA with the confidence we can cover injuries etc.

We should stop wasting time with multiple foreign purchases and invest more in local talent for the near future, The north eats is chock-a-block with young lads wanting a chance.
We have the East End Juniors pitch across from ours, Some of the footy being played there is canny frickin good for the age groups.
Can't wait for my lad to start playing!!!

    Something funny from recent events......

    Let's do a deal, Tynecider.

You beat le Arse, and cause Wenger to cause a flood with the number of water bottles he throws.

We beat the Mackems, and cause them to have a 21-0 loss, come ahead of Chelsea, and watch AVB and Freund to do such a wonderful celebration that Sunderland lose 30 points out of pure shame and are relegated, with Wigwam returning to live another day.

    Sounds good to me!

Anyway, tradition states that alongside me now having to watch the Championship more than I used to, I still should pick a Premiership team to support. So I'm taking up Spurs, I like Spurs.

I've just found out that Spurs have a senior player that I've never heard of: Khumalo? Like a Bentley, but disappeared from the very start.

Most Newcastle fans I know wanted arsenal to win 5-6 so that Pards would finally get sacked he's been awful for us this year so many excuses and not even half of them valid.

Spurs had a 7 point lead in march there own fault they not in the champions league. Now bale gets a decision does he stay or does he go quicker he signs a new contract the happier spurs fans will be this summer.

    Arsenal need major reenforcements.

Could be 4-5 way push for champ league 4 spot next year.

Spurs arsenal Liverpool Everton. And maybe a surprise package up there as well.

Chelsea if they get Jose for title.

If they were hoping for that, they are idiots with very short memories. Pardew and Ashley are friends, which is why he was brought in, in the first place. Ashley had already lined up Pardew in October 2011 and then had to delay the announcement after Chris Hughton pulled off the surprise 5-1 drubbing of Sunderland.

I don't think anything short of relegation would get Pardew out the door.

I for one DO NOT want Pardew gone, That sort of knee jerk hasn't worked for us since Robson got sacked.

Were just good enough to play premier league only, We don't have the money or more importantly, the numbers, To play Prem/FA and [insert your choice of play off here].

Like I said Before, NUFC need to go slowly slowly for a couple of seasons, Finishing around 9/10th and build the team up.

Newcastle are pretty bad for the knee-jerk firings... certainly have been since Keegan's first spell... with the exception of Robson and Pardew average term of a Newcastle manager has been just over a year [13 months by my maths]...

The problems with Newcastle lie further up the food chain than Pardew... always have...

    5th is mid table?

Also, they did finish above Liverpool again. And if I recall, so did Everton, again... ;)

Spurs better enjoy being above Liverpool as things will be different in the coming seasons. They have had their chances this season and last season and they bottled it. Time to move out of the way and leave it to the big teams.
