Well that was a shock to the system but glad the forums will remain. Despite my low post count I have lurked the forum daily (several times a day) for best part of 15 years. Just a nice community to be part of and the content on the front page was always well written and unbiased.

Best of luck for future endeavors to all the staff.

If needed I will host them from my house. They're not going anywhere no matter the cost.

The content will remain but nothing new will be going up.

From what you said before it reads like something new is soon to rise out of the ashes, I look forward to seeing what it is

Guess I need to find a new Star Citizen clan before the game releases!

Thanks to all who have contributed to the site over all these years!

I have a lot of affection for bit-tech. I've visited every day since the early 2000's, long before bothering to sign up. Over a third of my life - almost half!

As such, I'm very sad to see this place be (semi) abandoned, so I was wondering if there is an arrangement that could be made to transition bit-tech to a community-led/owned site - Perhaps crowdfunding the purchase of the brand outright or an ongoing brand license fee? I don't know, I'm just throwing out suggestions...

David - PM me, let's figure this out!

Is this effective immediately, or will Alessandro finish project Silverhand first?

I presume this also means the Mod of the Month/Year comps will end as well?

So the guy that made a similar-named channel for algorithm piggybacking wins. :(

    Don't be "Phone-Tech". :worried:

I've been avoiding logging on since I read the same on Hexus. Call it denial, a stubborn yet futile attempt at hoping that, if I don't see it, it will go away. Call it what you like.

    Gutted.

Glad the forums are staying, but still gutted.

t was time I had noticed a bit of disorganization in everything,
but I would have liked a little more transparency not a sad farewell letters,
in any case the people who had made great bit-tech not the opposite, so everything can start again from another place.

@MLyons does someone reliable own the IP/trademarks and forum data? If not then it could easily get taken down/sold/sued out of existence.

I'm sure a group of us could get together and fund/buy the necessary parts to keep it going. There's more than enough members with contacts that could supply code/mod/hosting help if it came to it, but without the legal bits sorted out then it'll all come crashing down.
