Who said anything about swapping them? Half expecting Lawson will straight up bombed out of f1, do not pass go, do not collect your humiliating demotion back to VCARB.
I said swap because that would be the most straightforward option, if they dump Lawson completely they would have to shop around for someone with no contract and willing to fill the 2nd Vcarb seat... Bottas maybe? Or a 2nd attempt to resurrect the career of DRic? Or one of the discarded rookies like Iwasa or Porchaire?
How much is it Lawson and how much is it a horrible car to drive because it has been built for one specific driver on the grid? Maybe somewhere in the middle of the two.
Looks like it is official, Lawson and Yuki to swap places: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/articles/cqjd5lg7wvjo

I hope Yuki does well this weekend, though jumping in an unknown car and being expected to perform is a bit optimistic even if it is your home race.
We have a winner! At lot sooner than anyone probably thought it would be, but I also don't think anyone thought the gap to max would be that big. Don't think Max will leave at the end of this year. He'll probably stay to see what they can do for 2026 before making his decision. Unless, the right seat becomes available. Could be a crazy game of musical chairs, with a house-like swap-chain.
Given how difficult the RBR seems to be to drive by anyone but Max, and that RB are pretty decent, I think there's a very good chance Lawson could outperform Yuki.
Lando showing that mental fragility already World champions would come out angry, probably find something to blame because of course it wasn't them. So pleased to see Yuki beginning to get to grips with the red bull. First time this year the red bull second seat has qualified above both RB cars, and hadjar had been quick all weekend. Still a long way back from max, but didn't seem to get a proper lap in for Q3, last one abandoned for some reason.
This. I haven't watched a Monaco GP in the better part of ten years. All the arguments for it are just wanky PR spin.
I do like it as a qualy venue as the cream always rises there, it's a proper challenge and I can respect the talent on show. But the race is a farce. They need to build a bit of track out into the Marina or something to give a wider piece.
It was boring AF - everyone holding up everyone else and all that "strategising" about pit stops and hoping for safety cars/yellow flags to actually be able to overtake but in the pits was awful. Anyone who even had a slight hope that Leclerc would have a go at Norris was in cloud-cuckoo-land, and that was made abundantly clear as soon as Max pitted one lap from the end and Norris immediately pulled out a 3-second gap. Also felt for the Mercedes team who were waaaaaaay faster than they had a chance to demonstrate until late race, the best moment was probably Russell spitting his dummy and taking the penalty for overtaking by cutting the chicane.
Spoiler: LeMans 2025 result https://www.the-race.com/endurance/le-mans-24-hours-2025-kubica-leads-third-straight-ferrari-win/ Ferrari by 15 seconds from Porsche. Now that's going to be a popular one. Although it's time for Ferrari to get beaten with the BOP stick...
At least he was honest about him being stupid. Max would have claimed he was a long side and should have been given room
