    Another old fool here!

First played - Yes, I think it would have to be the multi-sports package on the Binatone.

First owned - Star Raiders on the Atari 400..........what a machine!

For me it was either pac-man on a yellow handheld, or missile command on the Atari XE

I am not too sure on the first I ever played but the first I ever completed was Double Dragon on the 48k Spectrum.

I want to say the first was a Pac-man clone but that had a VFD display rather than a true screen so I wouldn't call it a video game as such.

First Played: Can't be sure but i think it was Duck Hunt. That light gun in orange is still the best controller ever made in my opinion.

First Owned: I'm certain it was Worms on DOS.

They don't make them like they used to :waah:

Space Invaders on a Intellivision (I think it was, I've still got some of the carts at home - I'll double check). it 2 fixed black/silver joysticks which had analogue sticks and calculator-like buttons underneath.

Did you guys know that the aliens going faster in Space Invaders was originally a bug, but the devs rolled with it, as it made it more challenging?

Yup, that was an Intellivision. Each game came with a pair of plastic inserts which sat over the calculator buttons to give a different key layout for each game. I think my mum still has ours somewhere in the attic. I wonder if it still works?

First proper video game I played which I owned was Operation Thunderbolt on the C64, played with a light gun. Actual first game was some crappy lcd handheld game that I don't remember the name of.

First system in the house and thus first game played was the Binatone when I was 5-6. My first computer and games that were mine was a Commodore Plus 4 with a Dig Dug clone based around Christmas (Santa, presents & snow) is what I remember when I was about 8.

Used to play demo version that came with our first pc around 94/95 with my dad, he'd fly i'd fire weapons. Also the two really hard bosses on New Kroy and Tiamat the latter of which we eventually found a glitch that let us skip it.

    The other was indycar racing.

Watching that video I couldn't believe it was from 1993 it looked pretty impressive.
Papyrus also made Grand Prix Legends, another game that was way ahead of it's time in terms of car physics.

I'd probably played various things before hand, but the first one I actually remember putting some real effort into and "playing" rather than just poking around is Myst. The first game I owned for myself was SimCity 2000.
