This one passed me by last month, but having said that it's proabably a good thing, as the guy in question got /.'d to hell and back. But anyway, here's news of what could be the first Nano-Itx mod, and it uses a Mac Mini's cadaver in the process (something that will no doubt please certain members of the forum - You know who you are. ;))

Kevin Rose of G4TechTV's "The Screen Savers" managed to get hold of a prototype Nano-ITX board and stuffed it inside a Mac mini, creating the first Nano-ITX project and overloading his server with slashdotters in one fluid motion. Several modifications were required to fit the 12x12cm board inside the case, mainly due to the size of the heatsink on the prototype, and the difference in layout and dimensions of the back panels (the optical drive didn't make it back into the case at all)...

More here, along with the link to Kev's site

Saw the episode where he did this. Looked like it was a very tight fit. Great project though.

i saw this episode project was lame, slower pc in place of a mac? anyway i cant wait for official nano cases great htpcs aslong as there is room for ful size hdds and maybe full size optical drives but the latter might make it a bit bulky
