    Skyrim?

Edit: ME2, Witcher 3 i'd put in there no question.

I'd also throw in Kingdom Come Deliverance.

So this is a Game of the Year for each of the last ten years, rather than the 10 best games of the decade? That's a slightly different approach, I guess, but it does mean that you end up missing out some brilliant stuff at the expense of some right old pish (hello, Assassin's Creed Black Flag!)

Only played two games from the list, truly enjoyed only one (Witcher 3).Though Minecraft place seems fair.

I'd put CS:GO, SpecOps The Line and maybe DeusEx HR on it.
Also would STALKER Call of Pripyat count?

Only in CIS countries, for the rest of world it was 2010 release, so a bit of a grey area, thus the question.

In the games of the year list they included RDR2 because it came out on PC this year, so going by Bit-tech logic all games are eligible in every year they have a release somewhere or on something.

Thank you for the summary. I'll keep it for future reference.
I actually played only two of these.
Makes me realise it's the Dekade I played least in...then again my eldest is turning 9 this year so I was a bit...distracted

Really happy to to see Mass Effect 2 mentioned. An incredible sequel, truly an 'Empire Strikes Back' phenomenon.

It scares me that Alien Isolation is six years old. I swear I only played it last year...

Nice to see Alien Isolation in there.
A truly magnificent game with an amazing sense of place and atmosphere.

I would say Mass effect 2 my fave, I just checked my Steam profile and hours played 44 before switching to Origin client.

    1 Before 2010 game DOD S over 1000 hours
    2 Before 2010 game BFBC2 224 hours
    3 CSGO 70 hours
    4 Just Before 2010 game Dirt 2 50 hours
    5 Skyrim 50 hours
    6 Mass Effect 2 44 hours
7 Deus Ex MD 43 hours
8 Deus Ex HR 40 hours
    9 CODMW3 Multiplayer 30 hours
    10 IL2 COD 26 hours.
11 RDR2 22 hours in last few days and climbing, (still fine tuning it due to crash issues) this game is definitely one of my faves alongside AC Origins and ME2.

Can be no doubt that Minecraft is game of the decade. It is still a thing of astounding simplicity, but with suich depth- because, lets face it - any age, any skill level. You can play it. Single player to just build, or full survival....or multiplayer online in the most varied communities. My lad has played it for 6 years now...1 purchase, and many hundreds of hours of genuine fun. Learning, creativity. Excitement..and occassional calm.
From using the crap 3d anaglyph with some old red/blue 3d glasses - to playing online in building tournaments against the clock. And STILL he devours the physics, the youtube tutorials, the pistons and switches.

No doubt in my mind... Minecraft is the ultimate decade game

I'd like to add Subnautica to this list - I haven't seen it mentioned yet. Perfectly executed, and the best use of home-bases in a game. I'm really looking forward to Below Zero leaving Early Access this year.

No Borderlands 2? And I would have skipped XCOM:EU and put XCOM 2 on the list - like BL2, it kept the same basic recipe, but cranked the flavour up to 11 on every front (barring performance issues that never seemed to get fixed...).
