Yet another Creative MArketing Ploy to Foist this steaming pile of **** onto the masses... :wallbash:
If only it was just the drivers that were the problem. :sigh:

Personally, I use a cheap M-Audio Revolution, into a Cheap Marantz (RA-971), Powering a Cheap pair of Wharfedales (Zaldek 1000's), Total system cost, about 150 quid. And you know what? It kicks the living s**t out of any 5.1 OMG Uber Creative/Logitech system anyone's ever cared to put it up against. Hell, 90% of people who hear it prefer it over my recently departed Altec Lansing ADA995 5.1's on a (Borrowed) Audigy 4 Platinum... :D :hehe:

And I'll not even begin on what my NAD setup on the same ************ speakers does...

The ONLY thing I want a Creative Soundcard for, is the Livedrive, as I keep nuking Gameport-MIDI Cables... And Direct DIN-DIN connection is way handy... still, I'll only use it to feed MIDI/Sysex data through it.

If you want to play Games or DVD's, feel free to play the Creative Marketing game, :duh: but if you want to listen to or Make music, then buy just about anything else...

M-Audio and MIDIman all the way :thumb:

Oh, and I know I've just abused my Smilie's Quota for the next 10 years
