I think theres probably more room to play around with in the back of the saloons too :)

I wonder what the tyre size on the normal Z3's are then? With a bit of luck I'm going to be attending the "Ultimate Car Control" day in Febuary, usual cost is £1250, via a forum its been quoted £250+VAT. The course is led in Z3's and Z4's, and its no problem if I fancy a blast in my Roadster :D

IMHO, the 316/318 is borderline posemobile in that for the same money as a base spec 318i, you can get a faster and/or better equipped car. Obviously if you have the moolah you spec it up and its decent enough then, but you see so many base spec 318s around that people still buy, despite being able to get better cars for the money.

But some people just must have a BMW :) even if it means a poverty spec 318i with no options, which is, badge prestige aside, bettered by a Ford Mondeo ST220 in pretty much every way.

Do you realise a 318 has a two litre engine? Do some research next time before making statements like that :)

If you saw someone driving a 325 would you say they were a poser with money to waste?

    I want a mid nineties 525 :(

Or an oldschool 3 series with a 525/528 engine.

The E34 was indeed a fantastic shape and i've got one of those on my "cars to own" list :D Fantastic looking things, especially in black.

    yummmmmm

(unless you meant the E39, can't remember when it was released - my memory would suggest later 90s (1997+), also very nice, but not E34 nice :D (imo))

edit: yep you must have meant the E34, as the E39 was produced from '97-'03

personally i don't think i could own any spec BMW from any age. imo they have the worst image of any car manufacturer, even porsche isn't as bad.
