Off the top of my head, people who stand out as always being knowledgeable and helpful, in no particular order: GoodBytes fingers66 Nexxo bulldogjeff RichCreedy Pete J Bloody_Pete fingers66 Adam_Bagpuss I know there are more which I'll add when I remember, I've only been here a short time so I'm not going to know half as many people as well as most of you.
Actually I have to thank Alex for making the swichover easy. As I've said elsewhere most of my post count is from the old Custom PC site and he softened the blow of its demise with a smooth transition. On top of that, everyone else at BT for being so welcoming. Since the switch I've been an off and on poster until recently but it's been the equivalent of going from one of the side rooms of a party into the living room. It's just taken me a while to step out and get a refill, and now I prefer it through here. There are a lot more mentalists kicking around on Bit-Tech but that's what makes it fun.
The one that really stands out for me is mvagusta. Mainly because he gives great advice to people in need.
I miss DougEdey. He was a good character in the forums. I also miss Modsquad's and Greensabbath's presence in the project logs section.
There are so many I didn't mention who are kings of the modding/project logs forum - people like Bill (mnpctech), G69T, Tribaloverkill (sadly missed) and many more including the ones Mankz has mentioned above.
That's depressing all the people that immediately spring to mind have all vanished. Anyway: Mankz and John for being around since forever. Nexxo for being the last bastion of common sense and logical thinking. Bindi for being a perfect example of a perfect moderator, red or blue thou epicness just radiates. All past and present Bit-Tech moderators, your all top notch mods, some of you are just far to quiet. All the members who have helped me in the past, far to many to list but just about every single bit-tech regular has helped me in 1 way or another. Bit-Tech in general for being awesome, may it survive Dennis Publishing and go on forever.
I'm not going to name names, but there are numerous people who deserve a thumps-up - over 7 years, there have been more than quite a few. Those who have helped me when I've asked for something, those who have entertained and stimulated me, and particularly those who I've debated with on Serious (even though the buffoons generally don't recognise my sage wisdom for what it truly is - philistines!).
Off the top of my head... (In no particular order). Fingers - Constantly taking the time to help people and dig up information. True_gamer - Helping people in the 5970 bios thread even though he hasn't owned one for a while now! Goodbytes - Lengthy and informative posts about monitors. Pocketdemon - Lengthy and informative posts about SSDs. Blarte - Sent me a 8800GTX for free (even paid for postage), still blown away by that kindness!! There are of course other people that are worth a shout, and then another category again for people who are just generally a pleasure (nice/funny) to have on the forum...
Carrie - For chatting away and amusing me while I'm at work and being a wicked laugh Teel - For always hating me more than I hate him while hating the universe more than the universe because I hated him more than he hates me... hate inception! Losenis/Skitzo - FOR THE EMPEROR! Nolaoc - For having a bas+ard of a name to spell and for sharing my inane hate for Chaos and bowing to the Golden Throne! Phalanx - For correcting me on my Blood Ravens canon (d'oh!) DeadPixels - Always an issue, Always a good guy. Plenty of laughs and sniggers all round with you buddy Nexxo - For being a smart-ass. I lie, for being logical and calculated with everything in such a fantastic way, also for showing me a few wierd things I'd never noticed about people before that have helped out lately, cheers boss! The above people make my life on Bit-Tech hilarious and full of win =D the game
What happened to him? What that guy didn't know about electronics hadn't actually been discovered yet.
