same problem with dock connector and bumper case, some cheap cable i bought from Ebay doesn't work anymore. but strangely the cable came with my iPhone 2G works fine, i have yet to take out the new iPhone's charger cable and plug.

 

Whatever you might think of this phone, damn it's selling a lot! All figures confidential naturally, but it's doing amazingly well!

 

And how many of those sales are to people who are simply upgrading their existing iphone?

I quite like the Starry Night Van Gough skin, and the Swan is quite nice as well. I'm thinking of getting bunny blossom for Mrs Goo.

 

Hopefully get a phonecall today to say mine's ready for collection. I received my new sim yesterday.

I haven't seen that much of a problem - certainly no dropped calls. It will be interesting to see what happens once the update is available.

 

don't expect anything to change, just more accurate bar to indicate signal strength.

found a way to edit out "vodafone UK" to top left of my status bar, since it was way too long to be of any use. managed to insert my gaming name.

just followed its instructions and edited my springboard.plst file no problem. really easy and without messy, long "vodafone uk" text, it's much, much cleaner.

 

Shame I can't just do it straight up in PhoneView!

 

Ugh, that Apple 'statement' is just downright offensive. It's almost as if they're deliberately providing ammo for their detractors.

 

It's SO nice for Browsing 10 Hours over Wifi. That's the reason for the slightly degraded Wifi b/g performance. They've used a lower power chip, so if you use 802.11n you get the same range as the old ones on 802.11b/g. But it does mean it goes for ages

 

I totally agree. They say it's just a software glitch, but Gizmodo has recorded the speedtest results change dramatically based on hand grip.

 

Apparently the theory is going round that Speedtest doesn't work properly on iOS4. Theorised by Anandtech

Exactly. The iPhone is a great phone and this is just one (relatively) small glitch. Why sh*t all over your customers with such an obviously ******** press release, knowing full well the media is going to BBQ you for it.

It's like they went out of their way to lose credibility.

The next batch are reported to be delayed, but a friend of mine has been told by Vodafone he's being shipped one on the 7th SO my guess is about then. I guess if you miss that its gonna be end of July

 

My first real annoyance with my iP4 experience so far... And it's not the phone.

Three, in their wisdom, do not support visual voicemail!

Having gotten used to it since day one on the original iPhone, not having it now is a pain. How come O2 provided it over a crappy EDGE connection back in 2007, yet Three can't over 3G in 2010?

Minor niggle, I know - but It's a lump of useful functionality that's disapeared.

Apart from that, everything's peachy.
