All the new stuff is up on the apple website now.
I have to say I am disappointed the new ipod touch doesnt go to 128GB, I would have been very close to upgrading if they had released a 128GB version.

Damn. An Apple TV jumped into my basket. :D

I love the idea of using the Nano as a wrist watch as well. I bet we'll see special wrist straps for them in the near future. And I wonder if you'll be able to get other apps on it, as I guess it's also running iOS.

I would have appreciated the appleTV more if it could also do 1080p and PVR duties. it cannot so I wont be buying it.

ipod touch still is a cheap option. 720p photos, not 5MP back facing camera. good job Apple, not cannibalising its products.

Apple TV looks good, but limited format for local streaming and only 720p makes me having second thoughts......

looking forward to 4.1 with HDR photos. game centre: meh; HD video upload: should have been there in the beginning; fixing bugs: about damn time.

here's a full list of things said in the keynote:
    http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/news/comments/apples-2010-music-event-the-big-picture-summary/

and here's the game Epic showed off, free on App store:
    http://toucharcade.com/2010/09/01/unreal-engine-3-tech-demo-epic-citadel-available-for-free/

    edit:
and the Epic Citadel app is able to do multi-tasking too. shove that into your PSP pipe and play it. :p

    further edit:
Epic Citadel used over 200MB of my iphone 4 memory?! was 40MB, ending it gave me 255MB of free memory. (Jailbroken SBsetting told me, not some useless AppStore utility) i wonder how it will play on iPad and 3GS.

It plays beautifully on iPad! Thanks for the heads-up.

Why did Steve keep saying EVERYTHING HD for the Apple TV when it only does 720P..

It would be an auto buy if it could output 1080P.

Apple TV looks nifty, I've been using the Xbox's film rental services up until now and been very happy with them but if the prices don't budge I might be tempted by Cupertino's offering, especially at £99.

Not too keen on the Nano tbh. I can see why they went backwards in terms of features as it's been usurped by the Touch now but it just looks too small for navigating 16gb of music.

Kinda miffed that I'll have to wait till November for 4.2 on my iPad and that it doesn't appear to do anything extra to make better use of the extra screen real estate (I've been spoilt by WebOS's cards multitasking) but hey, printing sounds good.

+1 on the lameness of the Nano. That should've been the Shuffle IMO, the Nano should have stayed the same form factor, just with the new camera with 720p video.

I thought the Nano touch screen was a bit of a shock, considering it was like (to me) the ordinary mp3 player, totally redesigned and everything.

Yeah the ipad OS update p1ssed me off, why do we have to wait so long for an update we should have had from the start??

I really thought the AirPlay thing would let you stream media from one device to another but it's looking unlikely... I still can't believe this is not a feature! I want to stream my vids and music to my iPhone, not just sync them etc!

Try googling AirVideo. It converts video on the fly and streams.

It doesn't run iOS proper - applications aren't listed in the the feature set so I guess they're a no go.
Limiting the rear camera to 960*720 rather than the full-fat 5mp backlit sensor in the iPhone seems like a bit of a cheap shot. If it had that then it would be the very epitome of a convergence gadget for everyone who doesn't want an iPhone (like me :D).

I don't think so, but it's not like you would want to on that screen..

Well, I've watched videos on my first gen nano, and the 1.5" screen is small, but not too small.

from the chatter i've read on twitter (posted by Apple fans such as applespotlight) it seems to suggest reason being there is no such small camera available for its thin body.

besides, if you can't fit a large enough sensor into your device to take good enough pictures, why bother? this is the reason Nokia phones used to take better pictures than higher pixel count Sony Ericsson (for example)

I wouldn't mind the iPod Touch being the same thickness of the iPhone if that meant a bigger battery + better camera.

anyone else think the ipod nano looks odd? the rounded screen corners don't sit right with the way the rest of the chassis works.

i reserve judgement until i see one physically, but they should have made it sharper looking to match the iphone 4 look, IMO.
