Thanks. :D The plan is to make the outside tank look less like a dong and more like a machine. ;)
I'll try to get a partially assembled pic in the next update for you.

...well, I was planning that anyway.

That reminds me.. I never made space for sound dampening. (Yes, it makes all those sounds.)

I took a week off to draw circles... many, many circles.
-I said something about space for USB, right? First, I gotta get some decoration going.
-Best use for those crappy steel T-slot toilet bolts yet.
-Venting. This is what happens when the best way to cut the metal is with the edge of a cutting disc, but the hole is smaller than your discs. I have a grinding stone somewhere that's half the size it originally was. That's what I finished with.
-Hack sawing only one side of this at a time.. Think about what an awkward Olympic event that must have been. Now imagine doing it in 98 degree heat. :(
    [IMG]
-For the curved bits on the above cut, I was filing back a ton of material. I thought, "This is killing me. I bet I have something that can do this faster. After some digging, I found a pack of rotary files that had never been opened in drill bit box #3.
-I can't cut all the way through the tube, so I made a ding in the tank instead.
-I still have some baseball bat left. Who wants to watch the mill party?
-I got pretty aggressive with this cut. I found the vise was moving.
-You know it's a good party when you have to shovel the swarf out of the way.
-Here's what I plan to use that part for.
-I spent a whole day buffing the cap of my turnip. -I said that. Yes, I did. The final polish shows off how dented up the tank is. I thought polishing the bit behind the purple plexi would look good.
-Some of the polycarb scrap matches the curve of the tank, so I made a mounting block with it.
-I finish up with a pic of a mess of tape and epoxy.
    -That's all for now. :D

-This is the bottom connection for that tube. I may have over-engineered it.
-Here's why it's done like that. It makes an internal countersink possible.
-Here it is with the part that glues into the pipe. The electrical tape is to keep any glue from sticking.
-I remember saying somewhere I would give a preview of what all this random madness would look like.
-I bet you are all still confused though. I do that to people.

Hmm, seeing the last 2 photos of your post, it kinda reminds me of a 60's hover/vacuum... it just needs a wire reinforced tube sticking out the end!

Well those picture definite cast all your work in a new light. By which I mean, I can see how the parts now fit together. The case looks great.

Thanks, everyone. :D I had a feeling I was straining some imaginations.
@Nexxo - It's been alive and on my desk, just without skin. -eww...

@DrCoin - Honestly, This is the most I've had it together. Up til now I've only been attaching bits to check clearances.

@Barry - No. I'm not sending my first born into space. It's a terrible place to raise a kid. -I mean, John Denver and JerryBerry are up there, right?

-Can I get a, "That's what SHE said"?

How long have you waited to say, "polish the head of your turnip"?

That looks like a sweet pimped out desk companion if you ask me.

    Thanks. :D
@Noob - If you name the project right, you don't have to wait. Off-color jokes come to you.
    @Bill - Also 75% cheap, 34% crazy, and 3% math skills.
