 Why, Thank you, Sir. It's good to see you around, by the way.:D

Last we spoke, I was trying to get this awkward shaped part in the drill press.
-Lets see...Nope! I'm hitting the slide frame.
-Nope! Now I don't have room for a bit even.
-I had to pull the cross-slide vise and use a normal one. :(
    [IMG]
-I drilled the PSU angle brackets- all over. I only shot one photo of the process.
-And, BLAMMO! PSU/Mobo/reservoir mount, (mounted backwards, but it works.) This is still a bit wobbly since the back panel hasn't been made yet.
I didn't think this bit out very well, though. There's no room for the cables. I guess I'll make some longer brackets? -We'll see after a few test fits.

Adjustable brackets? Connect your wiring, slide PSU into position, nip up screws....... Maybe. :D

    @Waynio - Thanks.:D
@Attila - I'm at the max distance for the black brackets, and the PSU said, "clang" when I stuffed it in the tank. Solution: More brackets! It will lower the psu 1/8" and get it to clear the weld lip in the tank bottom. There's a ton of unused space in that dome. I may be stuffing the pump in there.
...The fun bit is making a bulkhead to vent the PSU out the front somehow.

if your bracket's bracket's bracket is causign trouble, you can always solve the problem by making more brackets... :thumb:

this is looking like a very fun build!

Yo dawg, I heard you liked brackets, so I made brackets for your brackets so you can bracket your brackets while you bracket your brackets. :D

 I need a thesaurus for my CAD file naming. The whole thing is brackets. Perhaps I should start naming the parts like tropical storms? -Part "Bob", part "Betty," part... "Bindi."

Tell me about it,My current naming style ("fgfgfgfgfddfgdfg-FINAL" etc)leaves much to be desired.

Ada is known as "Metaversa 02-11b", which gives you an idea how many different versions I designed before I settled on her. :p

With my current job revision control is critical and one thing I have learned is nothing is ever FINAL.
Hmm, the directions for assembly could get interesting, fit Bob in Betty and screw until tight… *cough* err umm I'll stop there. Alternatively you could channel your inner Seuss… thingadoodle, jig-a-ma-wizer, wacket-a-booble.

    The brackets are looking good.

 Oh, God! Give them all pornographic names. If someone steals my rig, they'd spend the rest of their lives trying to get the files to work.
-Alternately, I could find the culprit by searching for: ".nc doesn't play in movie player "

    :D I'm seeing you a lot lately.

-The test fit tells me there's more room for the PSU if I move it down a tiny bit, and my temp screws are too long.:I
...and the current bracketry sags a bit.
-The PSU position requires a 90 degree power plug. Of course, none of the ones available go DOWN. I'm making my own from harvested PSU parts and spare cords.
-The stock AMD backplate didn't trip my tra la la, so I made a new one.
-I used a lot of degreaser to get the chips out of the tiny holes. This is already on the board, but I didn't snap a pic for some reason.
-I mentioned on the modzoo I'm using window caulk for mounting the billet to the pallet. Environmentallyunfriendly, but effective. It doesn't flex like silicone does, and you don't have to wait as long for it to cure.
    ...mostly it's because I had a half-used tube lying around.:worried:
-I haven't killed the grass in my yard yet, but I'm trying. I have bracket # 99,000 cleaned up, but I didn't snap a pic for some reason. I did that a lot last week.

When someone declares of your modding project: "This is madness!" you know you're doing it right.
