Yep, 2080 Ti 11GB had been my best computer purchase ever. The decision to jump on it after 3070 8GB announcement and before price went crazy was the right call
Except of course for the fact that there is bugger all visual improvement over "old" games like Forza Horizon 5, Doom Eternal, Spider-Man and so on. Yet time and time again games like Redfall, Jedi Survivor, TLOU, Forspoken, Plague Tale Requiem run like crap at launch. So no, claiming it is progress simply doesn't work, because we are only getting the downside and none of the upside.
You misinterpreted my point Keef. I 'can't' do 3rd person games. The game ran just fine from a technical standpoint. I need something ever so slightly more cerebral and the 3rd person view drives me mad. Not strategy or top down toy solider games you understand, something more Like Prey or Dishonored 2. One exception to this is Splinter Cell games.
