Erm... Not sure I should be confiding this in you...but none of you know where I worked before I am now so here goes. If stuff was brought back as faulty we would send it back to be fixed at head office. If it came back as fixed but looked realy scrappy, impossible to sell, we used to sabotage it to avoid it returning a second time. The worst I did was take apart a PC and remove random chips from the Mobo. Scary thing is it came back with no fault found :eyebrow: .

thats wasn't really in anger though..as if you knew anyone that knows me personally they would tell you that I am not capable of losing my cool, hence my aptitude as an Air Traffic Controller (long story).

700 posts??? wow, I have far too much time on my hands..

I've taken my frustrations out on my keyboard in the past... right now there's a nice crack in my spacebar when I smashed my fist into it last.

I do try not to break things when I get angry but sometimes you just can't control yourself... like the time my ex-gf and I were arguing over the phone, she just hung up on me and I threw the phone across the room making a nasty hole in my door (and my Gillian Anderson poster!) Luckily that hole could be covered by simply changing the poster. I'm still on the lookout for another keyboard the same as mine to replace this one. Heh.

edit: change girlfriend to ex... lol

I used to threaten it with "if you crash one more time, no defragmentation for 2 months!" but that doesn't works, now I just don't defrag it anymore, or I write a badcode programs that eat up memory to punish it, till it crashes, so it knows I am THA MASTER AND YOU ARE MY SLAVE! NOW BOW FOR ME, FOR I AM ROOT!

did I said that out loud? ...:worried:

I've never actually managed to break an internal computer component. Although I've gone through 3 mice. My 4th is an optical USB one, so I haven't dared to wreck that! It's a nice, accurate logitech, none of that ball**** anymore :D

I once punch a faceplate into the machine, it broke in half and I had to order another one. Imagine my pain tho... until October 2000, I was using a P120 with 16MB RAM :sigh:

My P3-500 is a bit better, but it's still had it's fair share of violence - I usually kick or punch the case. No damage to any of the drives yet. One time I kicked it and the case flew back for some reason,so the Power input socket on the PSU came loose, and since this case has been moved ALOT (I always find a new, more out of the way place to put it) it's fallen out. It's hanging on via its wires. I'll post pics if you wish.

    - This is a little offtopic, but I did manage to break an 8gig HDD by filling it up so much it had little over 25MB free space. It blew the motherboard up and that was the end of that chapter. I'm now on the second HDD in my P3.

Yea same - ive made several keys stick down before cause ive hit it so hard. Tis a 5 yr old one, but it still works great. Might replace it though cause the greese on the arrow keys is building from incresed FPS game playing :D  My ethanol wash doesnt seem to shift it as much anymore.

my mum won't let me do a blowhole on the front so I'll be making use of that stamped out grill - it never came with a fan.

I broke the Motherboard in half. I calmly took it out and, using my hands, snapped it in two. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

i banged the keyboard of my toshiba laptop, nothing happened luckily. Then I got up and punched my wardrobe door, coz i didnt wanna damage the lappy .. it was made of wood and just cracked and came off the hinges.

Had to pay for damages ... was living in student halls at that time.

I bang on my PoS desk and/or slam my case door......wouldn't hit something expensive in case I broke it (even when I'm angry I;m not a total loonatic, unlike ViViD........mate, headbutting your monitor? WTF?! Seek psychiatric help!)

I have a mate who was given a PC for free, in one of those horrible generic 'nokia' cases. Being a modder, he tried to vinyl dye it so it didn't look completely rubbish, but after he did it he left it outside to dry, then it rained and he'd forgotten to bring it in. He was cheesed off at this point so kicked the crap out of the case right there on his patio  :eeek:

    :D

the most violent and funniest experiance i have had with computers are the same. when i was back in college i was an administrator for the computer science department lab. i was trying to install linux on a piece of old crap hardware but the machine wouldn't boot, the bios wasn't even posting. after a little anger i slapped the side of the case pretty hard, next time it booted just fine and had no problems after that :)
