back in the days of 56k, if it disconnected while doing something important i would throw the modem at the door really hard. worse thing i ever did though is punch the lid of my ps1 once when it crashed and i broke the cd inside.
i scream at the computer at most with verbal insults. Especially in competitive games like wc3 tft where 1 lag spike can determine the outcome of a battle i start screaming stuff like: "oh you f*** b****, thats just F****** great, you choose to bloody lag now....now when theres a battle but your perfectly fine through the rest of the game...you f****** ***whipe...ima give you a good thrashing!!!" **gets a branch from a tree with the leaves still on it and proceeds to thrash the computer** "THERE!! are you happy now? did you see what you made me do!!!" I usually feel guilty after and hugg the tower apoligising..it goes something like : "im sorry...you knew i had a short temper when you moved here" *strokes the tower* "There there, i promise i wont do it again...gimme another chance...pls...just bootup this time.."
errm... i throw/hit my mouse and keyboard... it's usually not because im angry.. it's usually because someone in my familys driving me NutZ!
The worst I've done to my computer is knock the KB and mouse off the table, pull out the plug, and walk away.
I used to just pound on the keyboard when ever my computer pissed me off. Keys went flying every time and now the space bar on that keyboard doenst work and i lost the n key for it. I wouldnt dream of attacking my new rig or keyboard as both were quite expensive. ($15 for the best keyboard ive ever had)
I just punch the Keyboard, Scream alot, and once i got up and booted the tower as hard as i could while wearing my big boots, Alas to say my Lian Li is extremely broken, luckily all the hardware isnt.
I've got through one mouse and 2-3 keyboards to "aggravation" back in the good ol' days of Windows ME.
It never gets to that tbh. It never crashes, so never really gets abused. My keyboard and mouse get abused when I get annoyed playing CS though.
I used to hit my keyboards and smack my mice down and kick/punch my cases, now im more calm, well I brought more expesive cases and keyboards and mice. Case = £180 Keybaord & mouse = £120 My face once i've thrown and kicked them = priceless No seriously Im more calm now Regards GiGo
My IBM keyboard has taken some real pounding in the past. Once hit it and broke the table it was on...keyboard is still fine. I won't touch the new saitek though. I like it but it just looks so fragile. When I get mad these days, I sometimes yell. Unfortunatly, its usually 2-4 am when my temper is short. I wake someone up and they stand in my doorway threatening death until I shut down. Hasn't happened in awhile though.
i have only once ever lost my temper at the pc, was the last challenge in nfsu:mw 30mins on 6 star then you have to evade them. got to 29 and got busted about 4 times :'[
broke me razer diamonback... (cs 1.6) can get reallyyy annoying when they are just full of spungy bodies arhhh... at a lan once destroyed a crt but that was just for fun
I just punch my case. Since it's heavy-duty steel, my hand comes off worse. You can't hurt the damn things.
I threw a duff cd at a wall and it sploded all over. I'm still finding little shards now and then. Also threw a floppy disk and weirdly enough, it flew straight into an open drawer and bounced all the way to the back. Wouldn't touch a pooter though, no matter how old.
Havent really done anything this bad, mopst i ahve done is pull the plug or beat the living LED out of the power button
I used to kick my old computer but now I moved to AMD and I have less hardware related fits. Usually I just pound on my desk, made entirely of 2x4 and 2x6, occasionaly my mouse acts stupid so I smash it on my desk. My friend threw chairs, destroyed countless doors and put many holes in walls. When we were playing hl2 dm he chucked his keyboard at the wall, then proceded to break it in half over his knee, I couldnt stop laughing.
