Lol in that case it's hard to go wrong! What mice did you use previously/what are you most used to?

    Pics would help

I still think the Logitech MX518 is the best mouse I have ever used. I recently retired it and replaced it with a G500, and whist the G500 is technically superior in every way it's just not the same :waah:

Should have gone for the G400 shirty, it is the exact same shape I hear - what more could you want?

G500 is just Logitech branching off and trying new things. G400 is them satisfying the massive MX518 fanbase

Thank you for dedicating your 1000th post to me. I cry myself to sleep every night thinking the same thing...

Perhaps I'll pick up an MX400 and sell the 500.

    No problem :)

It's a possibility, IMO the most most utmost most terribly important thing about mice is if they are shaped like what you are used to!

If you've been using a shape of mouse for years then you will get the best results with a similar shaped mouse. I learnt that the hard way :)

That's also why "pros" and such seem to dogged on the WMO and Intellimouse etc. They are just average good quality mice, but the main issue is that such professional players have used them for so long that they can no longer perform optimally with anything new in shape or design.

The muscle memory that you built from your first mouse is a very strong one it seems!

    How about This?.

It's a similar but more refined shape to the type I'm used to and it looks lovely I think.

Plus, it has 4000 DPIs! Which is like, 3900 more than my current mouse.

More like 3200 more. Most optical mice, even Microsoft Intellimouse and the like, run at 800DPI.

    ROFL.

Apparently 100dpi mice are more common than you might think! :jawdrop:

It's not actually 100dpi, I have no idea what it is. I was just being facetious. Mice aren't something I've ever really paid much attention to:(

Okay, there are some occurrances where you can get lower-level mice, but most budget mice i've run across run at a minimum of 800DPI. Although i've only seen a tiny portion of the budget mice marketspace, so I can't say for certain if they all do or not.

I haven't used one, but it has some good (if pointless) features such as weights and the high dpi, and it also gets fair reviews. The price is good too, so if you like the look of it then it will give you a great upgrade from your $2.99 Chinese rodent.

I personally only ever use Logitech but that's just a familiarity thing.

There is a surprisingly in-depth review here.

Razer Deathadder is absolutely brilliant. Very comfortable if you use a palm grip, also quite good if you use a fingertip grip. It just fits to your hand so well.

Personally I love my R.A.T 7, its highly adjustable and great for palming the mouse.
I also have quite long fingers and find the adjustable length very useful indeed.

I hated my RAT7! I also have large hands but it just didn't work for me. Shows how personal it can be.

Having strange issues with the RAT9 at the moment, feels like windows keeps varying sensitivity, but after I give the mouse a good move to test; it's gone.

That and the fact that despite the fact left click has "RAPID FIRE" on it, in full caps, you can't enable any such mode on the mouse or in the software. That's annoying.

Still a very good mouse, the swappable batteries are wonderful, and the physical customisation is amazing, but it's not worth the full £78 I paid for it.
