Rumor has it Mayhem that it will be UK only and not avail to the US. Is that true?

 

Well, I'll say what I said privately publicly as well.

Sounds fine for me to work with you and release a perfected fluid. It took me two days to get my prototype up and going-but I had a lot of your ground work to go on.

I didn't do it to step on toes-I just didn't want the US market to lose out on this for a long time due to channel issues. And working together is a perfectly fine thing to do by my standards.

Just because I reverse engineered mine so to speak doesn't mean I think I'm so awesome that I can't work with anyone. On the contrary, I would like to know how you surmounted a few problems, and I'm sure you wanna know what I'm using as well. I think working together is the idea that would be best for the industry.

When you reply to those PMs, we'll know how to proceed here.

I don't think the idea I have is going away, it might just have a different label. One I have faith in anyway.

 

No were releasing it in the UK first, then Europe, and were in talks with a few companies in the USA.

The reason for this is because UK is normally the last place to get stuff and we have our re-sellers to think about first.

Atm some people cannot access our shop because we been getting hacked from the USA and we have blocked the ip range until we have moved to our new server.

 

Until Mayhem had released a few Youtube videos of his Pearlescent Liquids, absolutely nobody had even considered this concept or potential of this type of liquid yet here comes a guy called Kayin who we all know is a desperate guy and prepared to not only replicate the idea which has been a long time in the making but also set up in direct competition without even trial or testing just to make a fast buck.

I’m sorry like but Mayhem had this covered months ago with a lot of money and time testing investing in “his” whole project and if somebody like Kayin thinks they can come along and basically rape Mayhem, then Bit-Tech needs to take a long hard look at themselves to even let this thread to be active.........seriously its wrong.

CM, I'm talking with mayhem now, I stated from the first that I had nothing but respect for him and if he asked me to simply take down the liquids I would. Instead, we've decided to put our heads together. Two heads are better than one. It appears we have different approaches and combining our efforts may make a better overall product.

Sure, I want to make a buck, but I'd rather make that buck with the knowledge and consent of the originator than in direct defiance of him. I never announced any sale prices or sale dates, merely that I had figured out a product that looked like his and was working hard on it, and that Mick did it first and better.

I know you don't see our exchanges this morning behind the scenes, so I'm gonna take your statement as not wanting to see your friend's work exploited and agree with you. I don't see any reason for me to be upset when in the end we're all wanting the same thing, which is credit where it is due-and without Mayhem's groundwork, my efforts would not be possible. When he contacted me, he stated it would be better to work together than compete-and I agreed. As he is the originator of the idea, I'm letting him dictate the terms of that agreement.

Let's not get mad about something that's not going to be me ripping him off in any way. Personally, I think it'll be great to pick his mind about what I got right and wrong. I'm not going to take any offense to your statement, either-you didn't know I was already talking to Mick about how to make this work between us.

 

No, lets cut to the chase here and get to the bottom line Kayin, you have been watercooling probably longer than me or so i’m lead to believe yet you waited till Mayhem just about got his product to market then you jumped on the bandwagon seeing them $$ signs which in my opinion is lower than a kippers dick.

I totally understand that desperate people do desperate things but to try to override a concept that is already in the making on Bit-tech, WOW, FFS man, how low can a man get.

I’ve seen some underhanded things go on in this industry over the years but this one really does takes the cake

 

It is never wise to jump to conclusions. For what it is worth, Kayinblack told me many months ago that he was working on a new cooling fluid. He is not suddenly jumping on the bandwagon.

I think your post is impulsive and in rather poor taste. I'd expect rants like this from an immature tweenty-something new member, not an established mature modder of your standing. So can it now, or the banhammer will follow.

You can't patent a notion. One guy found a way of making a badass liquid for us. Someone else also came up with a badass liquid for us that's similar in appearance but different in production.

It works perfectly as designed. It's just fracking expensive to create and can harm me before it's in solution. When it's in solution, it's harmless in both white inactive and black active forms. So I rolled THAT experience into this.

As I said-Mick now knows what I'm doing. And rather than tell me "don't do that," he's helping guide me as to what issues he's found. And I'm offering what solutions I have versus his experience.

If I took what I came up with and ended up working for Mick, I'd be fine. So don't take it as being willing to profit from his work. I did this all clean room with just pictures to work with. I just happened to have some things that I had already done that worked.

There are plenty of people who have been at it longer than me who haven't figured it out. I got here by a different path than Mick, but I'd rather work with than against. To me, having one perfect coolant is better than two competing that may, just may beat each other at one thing or another.

 

I will publicly fight ANY toxic coolant that gets released. If your coolant is toxic do not even bother. Go back to the lab and work harder

You don't know what the absolute truth is. KayinBlack has been talking about his fluids since May 2010. It is not inconceivable for two people, both long-term members in the modding scene, to come up with the same idea around the same time (several years ago). It happens all the time.

This issue is between KayinBlack and mayhem. They appear able to work out an amicable solution to this. So why are you ****-stirring in a matter that has nothing to do with you?

For a 46-year old, formidable, long-standing and above all, respected member of Bit-Tech your behaviour is even less excusable. You, of all people, should know better.

My original post says don't buy this, go buy his. He earned it. I'm WAY out from sale right now. Don't worry, he'll beat me by at least two-three months, maybe more. That's if my health holds out for me to finish it up. Hell, I might hit a snag and never get it out. All I'll have is a pretty proof of concept.

I could always go back to my silver nanofluid and have a product I know nobody else has. Or I could accelerate Cerenkov, my next coolant product that's hiding in the back of the lab. If people would rather me do that, it's no problem. I have a lot of great ideas to work with-and I'm not planning on running out of them any time soon. My goal, and Mick's was to give the cooling industry new things to enjoy and work with. Mick does not have a nanofluid, the only other one out there is Ice Dragon and it's made in a completely different way. So different it's not even funny. I do have a copyright on that one, BTW.

I'm not here to steal from Mick. I'm here to add to the hobby. DB is here to add to the hobby. Hell, I know YOU'RE here to add to the hobby. So why fight? We all want the same thing.

Seriously, Kayin did tell very open right from the beginning about mayhems products and did not even try to lessen the efforts made by mayhem etc. And if someone is this honest about the stuff he's doing and even honors the stuff done by others getting into talks with them to solve possible issues then I don't see any reason why he shouldn't get atleast a chance to show of his stuff without being flamed right away.
