I hope your not going to destroy it! Its got museum potential I reckon. Care to post your plans/drawings?
I too think that you should get a non working one from ebay or somewhere, although, just modding that "computer" would be cool to see. You know, no new hardware, but a modded Commodore, that'd kick arse Janne
That doesn't answer our most grave concerns... Please spare its poor life, it does not deserve to die.
Gee, you seem to have hit a nerve man. I have no particular attachment to it though, so hack away! Listing hardware always seems kind of pointless to me. Are you really still going to have the same hardware in the case in a year anyway? Hardware comes and goes, great cases live on. Back on topic...any preliminary drawings to give us an idea where you're headed?
I can't find a dead one and I have no where to store a working one. I'm not really modding it, except replacing the CRT with an LCD and changing the keyboard. It will look almost as it does now, except UPGRADED. Yes. I still have my 3.2GHz P4 EE in R2 and those parts are 4 years old. If it works and works well why change? I don't need to upgrade just so people think my sig is cool.
Dude how much did you pay and how much to ship it to the uk? I got a c=64 (brick )im modding to have a blue led and scart. AND i have a full set of schematics for it @ Snafu-X- pft speccy lover
I can't watch this thread - such a shame to destroy a computer like that just for a mod. Mods will come and go but an old working computer like that is priceless.
Wow thats an impressive collection of classics. Mod idea. Stick a Mini-itx in the c64's(duel boot) How much space is in the pet? again you should set up a deul boot with a second set of hardware but dont touch the oridginal.
I really dont think that there'll be space enough, look at this pic: http://www.cbmgallery.com/rp2002/other-brokenc64.jpg
Ill see you pic and raise you an articale on a C=64@933 MHz C=64@933 I ment to try duel booting the pet.
