God knows what Brawn are going to do next season when they can't rely on pit stops to make up grid positions.
Ill agree with that, It is the most boring race by far and shock horror we've got another 5 years of that tripe. I think ill find something better to do on valencia weekend next year
I quite enjoyed the race - the track is as boring as dishwater but this season has yet to provide a boring race with all the strategy imo. Next season will be seriously boring tbh - between the aerodynamic troubles that restrict overtaking and no pit-stop strategies, it'll just be raw pace and driver management of tyres etc. Either way, SPA next weekend!
I only got to see about 45 minutes towards the end but what the hell was up with Hamilton's pit stop, they didn't even have the tyres ready.
Last minute decision by the team principle so the poor tyre blokes had about 25s to react. It only cost him a couple of seconds though, given the gap Barrichello would've been ahead, so it didn't make that much difference.
The error cost Hamilton 3-4 seconds, and Rubens was about 4-5 seconds clear after the incident. It would have been close.
it cost him the chance of holding onto the lead. But let's be honest I think they can be happy enough running at the front again after the start of their season!
yeah... would been close... and seeing Lewis munch away at Rubens's lead after Rosberg pulled in to pit... it could have been very very close, and very exciting. But that's all hypothetical I am mainly happy to see Lewis running well with his car again... Pity about Seb Vettel blowing his second engine of the weekend. That means - unless i am sorely mistaken - that he has 2 engines left for the season... OUCH! That's sure to put a dent in his performance, as they'll tell him to take it easy, and not try to gun too hard. Badoer and the pitlane problems was funny to watch as well - 4 times in P2, once in the race... one could almost think that he doesn't like the pitlane much... And i liked Braichello taking a win again... he's been driving well for most of the season, and yet seemed to always be that bit off of Jenson's pace. Not this time... he was dropping laptimes like a madman
He only has one fresh engine left and one that has been partially used, so it's as close to certain as it can be that he will be taking a ten place drop before the end of the season.
What, there was a GP last weekend? Oh - it was Valencia. Alonso's Ferrari Announcement has been put on hold as they await Massa's recovery / racing prognosis: http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5512796,00.html So looking forward to this weekend. SPA baby, Yeah!
Spa is gonna be insane... just hoping that noone cuts the chicane... even though it's bound to happen if the field is nice and tight...
Spa looks very interesting indeed: - Badoer now knows the car and the track... if he doesn't keep up with the field, that was it for his step-in stint. - McLaren is bringing both, short and long bases to Spa, to see how they match up around the high-speed corners. - It's bound to be a bit cooler there (meaning - Brawn better do something to keep the tyres warm), and it looks like the weather forecast is predicting rain....
Nah. I doubt that. Vettel has one new and one used engine to go for this season... he's gonna be chilling, just trying to get into the points. The gap between him and Jense is too big. He knows that he has to win a couple in order to win the WC. However, he also knows that if he drives his car hard enough to win, he's gonna run out of engines in a few races...
