Both red bulls will explode there engines this weekend Hamilton will win and Jenson will finish 8th with Barichello being taken out by a Toyota.
It's pretty uncertain as to how the Brawn's will perform. They've completely reworked their car and settings over the break to combat the tyre temperature troubles, and apparently sorted it out. Rain is always a distinct possibility, and it'll really throw the field about because you can get one end of the track staying bone-dry with the other being soaked.
I've been waiting to see Nakajima take out someone all season... As for exploding - i know i hoped for that to happen whenever i saw a red car lead a silver one... "go on, red car... great ball of fire" In reality, i am expecting Lewis to do well, Kimi to (unfortunately) do well as well, Rubens to drop a bit, Button to rise a bit (bot not too much). Heikki in the points somewhere, probably Webber as well, HOPEFULLY (and i really hope this), Sutil can score some points... the guys been marred by HORRID luck. As for rain, i reckon an even drizzle around lap 12-15 would be fun, that stops at around lap 30-33... that way there's two pits to switch tyres for everyone, and strategy comes in.
We / they hope... They said that about the last raft of changes pre valencia and they made the car worse! I'd really like to see Jense on the top step again, but I reckon Lewis will take it. Which would be sweet, considering last year.
Is it just my connection (very possible), or is the Live timing on formula1.com up to s** today? I get old times (from 1:23 remaining in the session), then new ones, then a message telling me that the first timed event will be friday prac 1.
So where is he going to? http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5518344,00.html I dunno. Somwhere Red, perhaps? But how's this for a WTF moment: http://www.planet-f1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5519413,00.html No Way!
Rumors suggest that Alonso has already signed a deal with Ferrari, they're just waiting to see if/when Massa comes back. Taking on one more driver means one of the old ones has to go. If Felipe comes back, that'd mean they have to pay out Kimi. As for the prac - if that's anything to go by, it's gonna be interesting.
Judging from first practice if the track is wet in any sustained fashion on Sunday I think Brawn might be in real trouble.
The trouble is that everyone sandbags on Friday and Saturday practice. It's not really worth watching for the laps, more for the gossip from the commentators and the pretty pictures of awesome cars.
Apparently the Abu Dhabi race is to be held at dusk, indicating that Ecclestone has learned nothing from Australia and Malaysia.
They're supposed to have floodlights. Apparently. First practice with Ant and Crofty is brilliant, I'll be a little disappointed if Ant gets a drive next year, but only a little.
Amazing! I love Spa... even the qualifying is more fun than most of the races. Fisichella deserves the pole!
Nice to see fisi on pole hope hes not running stupidly light, but should make for an interesting race tomorrow
