Oh God, no, my least-favourite driver returns to the grid. I guess now that Piquet Jr's gone, the driver-who-isn't-a-patch-on-their-Dad slot needs filling. Still, if it secures another team, at least we're getting some stability.

 

I think comparing him with Piquet Jnr is a bit harsh, he did win the driver's title afterall!

 

All the deeply-undeserved drivers' championships in the world won't stop him being the sport's most annoying driver. To quote Sniff Petrol;

Well well well, looks like today was low-fuel qualifying simulations as everyone did their fastest on stints of just 2-3 flying laps. Look at the times:

USF1 has asked for a 1 year delay to their start, saying they'll not make the grid.

Edit: And in better news - it seems FI are putting all rumors of their financial troubles at rest.... that's something positive at least.

 

So now hopefully stefan GP will get their spot and everythings back on track for the season, still think its stupid they waited till after all testing to announce something everybody knew was going to happen. So stefan GP on the grid with no proper testing? got to be worth a £1 bet, the odds would be massive on them achieving anything

Ferrari's statement a week or so ago was very clearly against new teams. In order to join the grid, they need a 100% accord from the FIA and the FOM.
Ferrari don't like the thought...
even though - the aggressive slamming of the "dreamers from the USA" might count in their favour when it comes to the Scuderia's vote.

and for a bit of a giggle (too much Top Gear for me) - Russian car manufacturer Lada will be sponsoring Renault this year.
I can't help but see an old steel-build car and hear Mr Clarkson's remarks about the russian motoring industry when I hear that name.
