I might actually get to watch some of the races on race day, orrr, i'm going to be stuck at work and forced to watch it after i already know who won on iPlayer. I take it the beeb still have the rights to broadcast?

Yup, the beeb are gonna be keeping it for a while now I reckon - ratings have apparently gone up quite a bit in the UK since they took it over.

    Frankly the coverage rocks.

Yup, the coverage has been excellent. It certainly helps viewing figures in the UK to have Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton scrapping it out on the world stage!

For all the naysayers who don't like Eddie Jordan or DC presenting along with Jake, I think they do a great job. The only part of the beeb coverage that I don't like is Jonathan Legard - he's constantly getting things wrong before Martin Brundle has to correct him.

Here's looking forward to 2011 - come on Lewis!! :D

The ITV coverage wasn't bothering me that much until a: the incident with the crazy nut case running up the hangar straight with a flag as they cut to adverts and b: i can't remember the year or race but i distinctly remember it being towards the end with a battle which could decide the title and only 3 laps left when they cut to adverts. They were unforgivable.

Beeb coverage is actually better anyway imho.

I'm one of those wishing Legard is gone by the next season. He's just plain awful. And I wouldn't miss Coulthard if he left. He's just too dull.

DC would be better if he weren't in Red Bull's pocket. Legard can die in a fire.

BBC > ITV. Legard is the most annoying though - he makes easy flaws, and often says the same lines - kinda gets old.
I enjoy DC's insights, alongside Brundle too.

Bit funny that both Toro Rosso seats are both open, wonder how long that'll last...

Hopefully, it might make it into the HD stage as well. Gotta make the most out of my Sky HD subscription.

Gotta agree on the legard front. Most annoying that man. Get one of the guys from Radio 5 in there instead of him. I thoroughly enjoy the discussions that go on during the free practice sessions. would be nice to bring just alittle of that into quali and race day.

Free practice sessions are awesome if only JUST for the commentary. Those 5live bunch are great!

I only listen to the 5live commentary, nothing particularly interesting happens on track that needs watching, but all the gossip and banter they air is really interesting.

For the live races next year I've resolved to put the 5live commentary on instead of the usual, but it doesn't seem right to watch F1 without Brundle anymore. :(

[edit]Maldonado confirmed for Williams' 2nd seat.

news is that F1 will be in HD next year (yarp) after a successful test at monaco last year. Rumour has it that both Toro Rosso drivers will be retained by the team, Algersuari is quoted as saying that Buemi would have been faster than Ricciardio in the RB6 and that give the two of them (Algersuari and Buemi) a good car and they'd be right up there with the others. Remember 2010 was Toro Rosso's first year as an independant car designer, all previous cars were hand me downs or customer cars from sister team Red Bull. Nice to see that kind of Comraderie between team mates if you ask me.

Schumacher has been lamenting this season saying that on more than one occasion Nico had a better or more reliable car than him. I am a fan, but i do question the viability of being this old and still racing at 200+mph. Having said that, if Brawn pulls one oout the bag as he did with the defunct Honda (aka Brawn BGP001) which won in 2009, then there's every possiblity he could be celebrating with his long term ally at the end of 2011.

Legard rumoured to be kept by BBC with it being Brundle that has his seat under threat. Not too sure on this myself, but Brundle has made it fairly public that he doesn't like Legard, and Legard makes it fairly public that he is an idiot who knows nothing of F1 (in my opinion).

Here's hoping that they see sense and put someone technical in beside Brundle, who is in my opinion the best person for the job.
