In the news:
Renault and Williams sign engine deal for 2012.
Virgin Racing and McLaren sign technical partnership. Vrigin gets to use windtunnels, fitness centres and some more facilities owned by McLaren. Engines to stay Cosworth.
Lotus (the green one) will sport Caterham branding in Silverstone.
I just wanted to share the fact that I will be going to the British Grand Prix this weekend....
Seriously man, enjoy. The noise is the special bit
Also, in honoured tradition of BT, pics or it didn;t happen
Yeah... pics or GTFO...
Let's see how this goes.
Single DRS Zone, off-throttle diffuser blowing ban, etc...
It's looking very grey outside at the moment. Possible wet practice.
And the annual Northampton recreation of Apocalypse Now has started - I was woken up by the first of the helicopters on their way to the circuit.
B1GBUD - Hope you took your umbrella.
[EDIT] - Yep - it's wet.
Wow - new camera at the circuit - flying / tracking shot through multiple corners ending up at the BRDC building.
Just seen them track a Force India - brilliant.
Ooo - buckets-o-flowviz all over Vettel's diffuser and rear wing beam.
This + Horner being grumpy when Ted was talking to him = issues at RB from off throttle ban.
I bloody hope so, but, call me a cynic, Adrian Newey is aero-god. I'm sure they're just teasing...in quali that RBR will be 4 million seconds ahead of everyone, because now they are using god to push down the car, found a way to keep KERS charged all the time, the DRS wing open in corners rather than straights, and are using superglue on the tyres.
bit negative about the RBR dominance...
Hope it stays wet for quali as well, should shake things up a bit, even if it is dry on sunday.
Gotta agree. We want it piss wet downpour all day tomorrow and then blistering heat and sun on sunday. Would certainly shake things up a bit.
Oh - I see. The FIA obviously don't have a spine, and are backtracking somewhat on the blown diffusers 'for reliability issues'.
They alluded to the argument in the press conference on the local news last night - breaking F1 news on Look East!
Come on Charlie - Have your wheatabix and a strong cup of coffee, and stick to your guns.
3rd Practice is on at 09:55 on red button and online.
Murray Walker doing FP3! Awesome sauce!
Charlie has had his wheatabix! Yay Charlie!
And yes, Murray - It'll be blue skies. Quick everyone - get your waterproofs out!
They read out my Twitter question!!! Murray Walker answered MY QUESTION!!!!!!!!!
Damniiiit I need to find a torrent of FP3 >_<#
(legit! I can't even pay to watch it out here)
Boooo Vettel top of FP3.
Pray to the gods of F1 that he doesn't get P1 in quali... because nothing else is likely to stop him. Fingers crossed!
Well suppose should be glad that it's Webber instead of Vettel but meh still a bloody red bull on the front, well done Di Resta 6th, and a Lotus in Q2
Separate names with a comma.
