ok so staying up for suzuka was well worth it
that was easily the best race of the season

What a GP, should have gotten up and watched it live! Stunning... some great overtaking from Alonso the move on schuey in 130R was simply awsome Kimi drove a fantastic race, not usually a maccer/kimi fan but rooted for him today. Fisi chucked the race away though tbh, and JV he should be relegated to bumper cars...

 

Just for the record, JV did get punished for his move. +25second penalty.
And agreed, Fisi did not defend the line well enough tbh. The last lap! What was he thinking?

Oh OK, maybe not ever, but easily the best of the past 10 - 15 years. Fernando and Kimi where just amazing!

I'm getting increasingly worried about our Jense though. Qualify 2nd, lead the race twice and finish 5th? WTF? Is it just car / setup issues, or is Jense too much of a nice guy?

What did everyone make of the Trulli / Sato tangle? Sato under too much pressure, or did the Honda big wigs give him a handscarf with the rising sun on it and expect him to do the 'honorable' thing?

JB - Its his car tbh, same as the Ferraris, it just does not have the pace lately. Next season with Honda having gone 100% things may well change

TS - He was under a lot of pressure, and does seem to have the tendency of locking his brakes up too, personally, I think Trulli was a bit harsh.

 

Didn't JV and JPM have a disagreement in Canada a few years ago? He probably put him off on purpose!

 

In all honestly, JV is past it.
Its been said before, you can never win, and come back expecting to win again. So true Imo.

 

Nikki Lauda, Alain Prost...etc...etc

 

But then, some people are good, and others aren't
(I don't like JV... so yeah I am biased)

 

He's been less impressive than I thought he'd be, but I hope BMW honour his contract.

 

Depends how he does in China tbqh, his performance in Japan was pretty poor, esp with pushing Montoya off the road.
So, if he does a bit better, like finishes in the points, he should have a good chance.

Watched it in the gym while running on the machine and I have to say it was a great race sadly though I didn't watch the last lap when kimi overtook whoever it was, that's unbelieveable starting at what 13th or something and taking 1st! Crazy.

 

I think it was 17th or 18th he started actually, 1 place behind Alonso

 

That is just crazy, goes to show how crap all the other drivers are or he could just be mental at driving...

What happens to schumi is he like some veteran who's not as good or is it just his car?

 

Schus problem was his car, thats why Rubens has been crap too.
Next year should be better, all on new ground, 2.4 V8 engines. Currently only 2secs slower.

 

Imagine if turbos were not banned in Formula one ... lmao we would have cars that would fly..

 

It is a shame about that drain cover taking out Montoya as I would have liked there to be a bit more racing for the constructors. Happy with the result though
