Did you avoid The Departed? He was fantastic in that, and it was a fantastic film Same goes for The Fighter.
Attack the block 7/10 Basic premise (No spoilers) -- Aliens invade a housing estate in London -- chavs fight Aliens. A lot better than I thought it would it would be. Not a cerebral movie obviously, but good clean fun. I'll be looking at any other films Joe Cornish directs -- I think he could do other decent films as I get the impression he's a bit of a fanboy, if any of you have seen Adam and Joe.
I'd add a vote for Shooter too, I though it was pretty good. Drive - 9/10 Blu ray quality was excellent. Movie was also excellent.
I actually have enjoyed most of the films I've seen Whalberg in. Shooter, The Departed, The Fighter, The Other Guys, all good films, (not necessarily as good as each other), but still all worth a watch in my opinion
remember david he was married and a dentist but oh sooooo hot oh yes and a jew, i need to see that film.
saw the hunger games last night 9/10 not too shabby.. like the running man but without richard dawson liked the mc beard too- and rue.. didn't read the book so didn't really know what to expect
Rise of the planet of the apes 8/10 Thought it would be crap but it was actually quite entertaining, good computer animation they should make it a trilogy. The help 8/10 It was also quite a good film.
The Hunger Games - 8/10 I've never read the book, so when I watched the film, I felt it had a great plot (It really is the stuff of nightmares, for me at least), but it was too thin - you had little idea what was happening, it just lacked dialogue. Great effects, and I miss Roux...
Your Highness ok so i wouldn't buy this film it was on sky movies anytime, i give 6/10 it was fun though and Spoiler best boobie trap ever
You don't happen to live in India, do you? That was on TV last night! Very entertaining, I agree with your rating - 7/10 it is. Yeah, it was a bit flimsy overall but seemed worth the time and money. Something about the plot and characters had me hooked, but I could find plenty to nitpick at. I'd give it a 6.5/10 because the cinematography/editing was piss-poor and the sound mixing could have used a lot of work. Score and music direction could have used a gentler hand too. I hate it when movies "force" you to feel a certain way using music. It usually stands out to me and kills whatever mood the film might have set up beforehand.
The Grey 7/10 A bit ropey and very melancholy, but some very good acting and despite the low budget wolf effects it's an OK movie.
Harry Potter 1 - 7/10 Harry Potter 2 - 7/10 Harry Potter 3 - 8.5/10 Harry Potter 4 - 9/10 Harry Potter 5 - 6/10 Harry Potter 6 - 7/10 Harry Potter 7 - 8/10 Harry Potter 8 - 7/10 Strangely I enjoyed part 1 more than 2.
I found the hp films fairly enjoyable up until the half blood prince. That film and beyond felt like EA took over production and made films for the sake of a release. The last ones where boring as hell
In Time - 6/10 I'm a real sucker for these types of near future sci-fi type movies and if I'm honest the concept is pretty cool. However the acting in this film wasn't that great, and the pace of the movie is completely off. It slowed down at times a little too much for my liking when they should've just gotten on with the main plot. Check it out if you're into the genre or have some time to kill.
