    Insidious Chapter 2 10/10

I just can't fault it - as with all sequels, I went to the cinema with low expectations, only this time to have them blown clean out of the water. The film is brilliant... possibly even better than the first.

I know its a bit of a stretch to mention a TV show here but for all you Avengers fans, Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. starts on C4 tonight at 8pm.

The reviews and comments I've seen so far seem favourable so I'll give it a go.

    Finally got to see:

    Rush: 9/10

Fantastic film. Exciting, historical, great relationship between the main 2 protaganists, loads of great touches that most will never notice. Go see it! :)

Has a strong 'Warehouse 13' vibe to it imo [not a bad thing, I like[d] W13]

Again, not a a series, but currently watching Orphan Black, need to try and get hold of Copper as well... BBC America seem to making some not-bad stuff [better than some of the dross made over here...]

    Pacific Rim 8/10

Solid and entertaining big mecha film that made me grin like a **** several times. mecha performances good, humans a bit iffy.

mecha designs did'nt sit well with me though

the fight scenes were pretty epic, tbh it could have done with dropping the dippy scientists and having more action scenes ( especially Cherno Alpha and Chrimson Typhoon, their roles were pretty naff )

if I did, it would be more akin to 2 hours of UFC between Godzilla and Gundam Wing
in the middle of a city

    The Heat ass cancer/10

Rubbish cop buddy movie with fat mouthed Melissa McCarthy gobbing off trying to make swearing cool and ultimately falling flat on her face. the police brutality jokes wear thin really quickly and oh god i just turned it off 40 mins in, its just ****.

    Filth 8/10

Funny, disturbing, thought provoking but still very funny - somehow Irvine Welsh manages to get you to sympathise with the main character.

I'm throwing money at my monitor and it's doing nothing! :wallbash:

Only on condition it's during the day, cause you can't see **** at night in PR1.

On this topic - I highly recommend watching it on the way to work on Monday morning (assuming you don't drive). Rids you completely of Monday blues!

As long as it doesn't end up looking like a zord fight from power rangers...

****ing wow, classic horror given an incredible makeover, only bad thing about it was that it never got a cinema release.

    Blackfish 8/10

I mentioned it in the Guess the Movie thread but realised I never posted anything here.

What started as a documentary of the SeaWorld Killer Whale tragedy, ended up going further to trace back the actual Killer Whales introduction to theme parks. I found it really powerful and ended up feeling really guilty since SeaWorld is an instant addition to the family Florida holiday. I went this Summer before watching this and felt it was really flat and nowhere near as energetic and enthusiastic as it was before the accident. I will never visit the park again.

A good serious documentary covered the bases but SeaWorld only commented on the content after it's release.
