I saw Arthur, had it's moments, overall, a decent movie for an evening out with friends. Worth my time and money.

    7/10

Oh, God. What a waste of over two hours of my life.
Story summary: spoilt rich American dumps her husband and goes off round the world to "find herself". Wow. Like nobody's ever done that before. :sigh:

Filled with so much of the pseudo-psychobabble that certain Americans seem love, and even my wife, who will normally try to see the best in most people, didn't take to the main character at all.

This film prompted Mark Kermode to give one of his classic reviews. It's definitely worth watching.

    Blues Brothers 2000 - 6/10

I finally got around to watching this - it came on a double DVD with the original, which I love - last night. It's got some funny parts and some of the music isn't that bad but it's definitely the poor sequel.

    who is that?
Being a bit familiar with German TV... I always thought the typical turk looked like Süleman (sp?) from "was Guckst Du?". :worried:

Wanted - 5/10 not as bad as the trailers made it out to be. Some shockingly bad bits with some actually quite good bits. The story wasn't too bad and some of the styling was rather good it was a shame that it was held together by some of the most unbelievable (in a bad way) stunts (CGI) ever.

Salt - 6/10 I actually enjoyed the majority of this film. The plot was completely predictable, in fact I found myself telling the misses what was going to happen half way through. That said it wasn't as bad I thought it was going to be.

P.S. I am not a Jolie fan just coincidence really. Wanted was on free view and my misses wanted to watch Salt so we rented it.

Senna - Two hours and forty minutes to get to really like a guy, all in the mindset that you know he's gonna die at the end. I had to turn it off when the 1994 season started. I can't watch the end.

I want to watch this now! Or, at least I'll dig out a trailer.

Someone made a remake of Arthur? :duh:

The "Was guckst Du" guy is Kaya Yanar but he doesn't do movies.
I meant Hilmi Sözer...not that he produces anything of notable quality, but he's EVERYWHERE when a turk is needed in German TV.:D

I finally got around to watching 2012.

I never facepalmed so much in a movie, a few good visuals (Especially Yellowstone blowing up, which in HD looks amazing) it's got such a crap story. I mean for one thing, one second the Olympics were called off, the next day it's December 21st?

    4/10 overall.

    Hanna

    9/10

i really enjoyed this film. the filming was great. watching Saoirse (hanna) out-act some of her co-stars was fun. and the score by the chemical brothers was superb (so much so that i went home and downloaded it after the movie).

Watched Source Code last night. Sorta... Matrix meets Groundhog Day meets Donnie Darko. Not bad at all!

Also watched The Wrestler the night before. Was OK but not amaaaaaaaazing like everyone was saying. It could probably have done with less gratuitous booby bar scenes, tbh.

Finally, I attempted to watch Dune on Friday night. Got about 50 minutes in. Don't watch this movie, ever. Stay with the book.

I enjoyed it too, plus it's got Michelle Monaghan in it. :D
I loved it, a sci-fi film not interested in blasting our eyes out with huge special effects and concentrates on atmosphere.

A bit different to the norm; not my favourite but I'd probably give it a 7/10, maybe a 7.5.

    Step Brothers

It's Will Ferrell, what else is there to say? 9/10

Me and the fiancee just watched Antichrist yesterday. I say watched, it made the fiancee basically flood the room in tears after the opening scene and made me feel quite protective of myself after another scene. Anyone who's seen will more than likely know which seen I'm on about.

It lacked any sort of coherent plot, seeming just to rely on quite disturbing imagery to shock the audience into thinking there was some sort of actualy story telling going on. The background music to the opening scene was, I thought quite excellent, unlike the scene itself. The same cannot be said for the rest of the film music, which I believe was recorded by accident at an all night white noise conference.

All in all I'd give it a 1/10 for lack of plot and for just being plain painful to watch as a man.
