    Social Network

Finally got around to watching The Socail Network last night. I enjoyed the humour, which I wasn't expecting would be such a big part of the film.

The story was interesting as well as I have never looked up how facebook was formed. All I knew was that it started up at Harvard.

Also I was shocked just how well Justin Timberlake performed, he played the douche bag roll very well indeed. All the actors where really good in it, even the bit part girls and other smaller characters played their parts fantastically.

It's a hard film to fault and after people I know giving me mixed reviews on the film I am happy to say I enjoyed it a lot and would recommend anyone who hasn't seen to to go and watch it when they can.

    Score

    9/10

    Predators 6.5/10

One of those films I've wanted to watch for a while, but kept putting off getting due to the bad reviews.

Found the triple play BR in Tescos for a tenner so gave it a shot and found it to be a pretty enjoyable (if predictable) film.

There was also quote a few nods to the previous films throughout (ending music is a good example).

The taking of Pelham 123 4/5
because it's just that, mediocre, minus one point for wasting such good actors time.

Hmmm, Source Code isn't out here yet :eyebrow:

Dune, well...the Movie? or the Series?
While the movie is great in it's own way (mainly visually), it's probably better to read the books afterwards, not before. Then again, you won't understand half of what's going on a a lot is left unexplained in the movie.
The movie is of course, painfully slow at the start, as are nearly all movies of that era when we look upon them now...

maybe because he is.....ah never mind :D

Yup, that's Lars von Trier :thumb:
People love him for this, he's so...:sigh:...Art, you know? :D

Interesting to see this movie's ratings (Antichrist)
I've rarely seen such polarization. It averages at 60%, but all single entries are either naught or 100% :D

Anyone seen the trailer for Attack The Block? Looks pretty good with some dark humour (and Nick Frost)

    Edit: Here's the trailer:

Gotta agree there... though I DID enjoy John Travolta with the Bad-guy-biker-dude mustache...

Attack the block looks funny, though wonder if the trailer is the best bits.

    The Sorcerer's Apprentice 6/10
Not technically bad, but very....disney, I expected them to start singing any moment. :D
    +1 for beeing a kid's movie really.
Plus the antagonist is really really whiney (Jay Baruchel)

Does anyone know why the Wild Hogs sequel got cancelled (as the original was very profitable)

Rumour has it that it was because it didn't really fit into Disney's family-friendly image. It's a shame, I really enjoyed Wild Hogs.

Just watched Antichrist as all the people sparked my morbid curiosity.
Cannot rate it, it was just.... weird, I didn't get it.
    I don't recommend it.

Certainly was, like most of the rest of it.
Just weird, how on earth does someone come up with that stuff?

The director had recently been released from a mental institute after suffering severe depression. Maybe that had something to do with it? lol
