Since we all know how much Bit-Tech loves its cheesecake, I decided it was high time we had an official spot to post photos of our creations. Rules: 1. Homemade cheesecakes only! No store bought! 2. If you don't have photos (that you took), please don't post someone else's pictures. 3. Please link to the recipe or post it along with your photos. 4. Cheesecake. I'll start. I made this one for Christmas dessert 2008. It is the best cheesecake I have ever had. Even better than my Peanut Butter Cheesecake. Pretty damn good. Tasted best 4 days after it was made. Damn brits! Reese's peanut butter cups: http://www.hersheys.com/reeses/ It's actually not a lot of chocolate on top, it was maybe 3mm thick and it pooled in the center since the edges were raised.
My Grasshopper cheesecake is in the oven. If the cake is half as good as the batter.... well... ****.
Holy damn this thread is awesome. If I have a bit of free time this weekend I will try and whip up one of my favorites: A Tiramisu Cheesecake But oh lord does that Reese's cup one look amazing. I'm gonna have to make that one for myself I think
If you find them make sure you buy the Reese's Peanut Butter cups, not some off-brand no-name ones. The Reese's ones taste soooooooooo much better due to the amazing flavor of the peanut butter. They are worth the search, trust me
Hey I used to eat reeses cup allot, but NOT for the quality of the chocolate. It's the salty peanutty goodness. I'm drooling now. Gotta have my pear now! YUM PEAR! Who am I trying to kid. Thats not fair posting that gear. Should be illegal!
Entry number 3! Just finished decorating it: Grasshopper Cheesecake! Link to recipe I used: http://www.recipezaar.com/Grasshopper-Cheesecake-65464
It makes me sad that there's a shortage of cheesecake in my immediate vicinity. Btw, that's a heck of a crust on that Irish one. Nice!
And now for the 4th Entry! Turtle Cheesecake! My mother made this for a party she's going to tonight. I can't take credit for it, but it looks delicious.
I might make one to contest the swastika inspired entries. aweseome work guys, but nothing beats a good lemon cheesecake. maybe some white wine beforehand and a quiche. mmm homemade quiche.
Mmm.. freshly ground turtle. Did you use a pestle and mortar or just whack a bag full with a sledgehammer?
