Am I too cynical if I'm a little disappointed about this rendition of imagine? With all the athetes, volunteers and a full arena the recording should be completely inaudible. Still awesome though.

Yeah, they also had Elbow which was another awesome choice, but 1D have no business being there. Why would GB be proud of one of the most manufactured artist groups in the world?! Meh, they must have been thrown in there to keep the majority of teenage girls and the rest of the sheep interested

    Me too! :D

That John Lennon bit was awesome. George Michael too! What a show :thumb:

I have to admit I'm not such a big George Michael fan. Actually kind of hoping he hurries up and gets off the stage...

    edit: ugh please stop

&$^%*^$#*# commentary at our local national TV station. WHO the **** is interested in celebrity gossip, history facts etc etc ? I am here to watch the show, not listen to the stupid blablabla :duh:. Because i need to be said that Lenon was shot in '80, i need to say that those are Pet Shop Boys,... Totally devastates the show .

Isn't Cadbury an official sponsor? They want to be careful around him...

EDIT: Kaiser Chiefs playing Pinball Wizard? Isn't that illegal? :p

And now we broadcast our slave trade.

But wait, there's more! It's Annie Lennox. This is like the Ultimate British Concert, of we ignore that nlip at the start.

    Not impressed.
The opening was good, the past 2 weeks have been good, I'm currently at the random pyramid thing being built to what I think is Kate Bush. I am watching in 3d, the commentary is a bit guff too.
I expected more from the closing ceremony to be honest. Maybe there will be a massive finale

and again thankful I have the option to watch it without commentary through the BBCs red button. I tried with their commentary and felt much the same as you.

Still love Annie Lennox :thumb: I was disappointed to see that the Who weren't performing Pinball Wizard. George Michael has a great voice and great stage presence, I've always liked him. He also looked awesome!

    [edit]

Ed Sheeran performing Wish You Were Here! :jawdrop:

Why do you guys not like Ed Sheeran?! He's unbelievably talented and not a product of the British music manufacturing industry...

Edit: I think Ed's a very talented lad, and Russell's doing quite well singing Beatles.
