First episode was poor, but 2 and 3 are the necessary space drama that's lacking from Star Trek. And occasional lols. Really getting into it now! I hate the music though.
Last nights episode took a well aimed kick at a society ruled by social media. It also had the highest ratings since episode 2 as well.
I'm glad I started watching this, I just hope it doesn't get canned after 1 or 2 seasons. So many nods, references, and homages to Star Trek but it does stand up on its own. I think Black Mirror did that concept a lot better, but it was a good episode nevertheless.
The Orville has been picked up for a second season https://screenrant.com/the-orville-season-2-renewal-fox/
anyone else see lastnight episode? Thursday night is quickly becoming the highlight of my week, im so pleased we now have a second season incoming.
admit it, you smirked when Bortus deadpanned "glory hole" and Mercer's "space is mostly empty, we should be fine" lines
I think the only thing keeping it upright are the nods to Trek. I hope it gets better, but I'm out - it's humour is far too cringey for me.
Strange as it is. I think the answer is yes it's a spoof AND it's a serious attempt at a new space series.
lastnights episode was decent, I was wondering when we were going to see more of the "holodeck" oh and ROBERT ****ING PICARDO! it also appears that this season is going to be cut short from its planned 13 episodes down to 12 with the 13th being an extra episode next season.
Ep10 was frickin awesome! Shame there's only two episodes left and Star Trek is now on hiatus Seth McFar is absolutely the weak link in the whole thing. His acting is just terrible.
Episode 11 is top quality. Really sad it's the last ep because it's become the highlight series of my year.
