Well this is generally about Chav's or Charvs whatever you want to call them,
we all know them as those little Vandals (Lol Leeum) that go around smashing
    bus stops, ana mugging OAP's.

I saw a definition on the TV and it went something like
Chav : Someone who wears tracksuit's

This is clearly not a good enough definition for the scum, now for the Charv

This is not currently in the dictionary so i cant get a definition, but i assure you if
you speak to anyone with a higher IQ of 2 up north they will give you
a much more.. reasonable definition for the scurge of the UK. :D

PS: if any of this offends you i am sorry :p

That just shows, they shouldn't be called a Chav, that meaning doesnt really start to define what they are really like, but 'Asbo' havent heard that
    before. :eeek:

Now that the media has taken ownership of the term Chav, it has lost all but the bear minimum of it's original meaning (whatever that was)

Since chav has changed it's meaning to anyone who's generally stupid and trashy, I just use any swearword I come to think of when describing them.

best way i would describe them would be a group of 4-7 swear words mixed in with a couple of rude words for good measures..

first entry in there is pretty good. i live in canada and the first time i ever heard this term was in a thread on here about "happy slapping" i think. Things like this make me glad that i live in the middle of nowhere

We just call them "right little s@#ts!" where I come from.

It's amazing what's making it's way into the dictionary these days. About 6 years ago we had "white maggot" (AFL umpire) and "trackie dacks" (what chavs wear) introduced to the Australian Oxford Dictionary. Link

I've just come to the conclusion that I've been living next to a bunch of chav's for about a month... I hate it. They've moved their garden fence about 50cm into our garden just before we moved in the house. Besides that, they won't shut the **** up for a minute in a whole day. They keep on shouting and swearing at each other. It's not taking long anymore before I'm taking their fence down. Since it's on my ground it's even technically my fence. I hate them...

gah, the word chav is getting so old now. a prime example of the daily mail and their scare-tactics, and branding of anyone who doesnt drive a volvo as "lower-class" bleeding into normal people's lives. my other half's dad reads the daily mail, and he's forever going on about stupid articles therein, and i even remember the first article on this new "chav" sensation that's sweeping the nation at the moment, with a picture of a girl with massive gold hoop earrings, a white shellsuit and her hair hair-sprayed to her head. being that you'd expect the writers of the daily mail to have some intelligence, they didnt exactly research the definition of the word "chav" very fully did they?! (the word is actually a Romani Gypsy word and simply means "bloke" or "man")

i find it comforting, however, that i'm not the only person in the world who's ignored calling them chavs, and simply opts for calling them a bunch of ****ing ****s, and not using this over-used, mis-defined word that we've come to know and love.

i recommend reading the sun - it's the same as any other newspaper but for one thing...it's still full of **** but at least you get to see a different pair of boobies every day :D

Only the daily mail pisses me off more than chavs do, they're all about the scandal.

And DUDE! You have the internet, you can get many boobs per day free without having to wade through 4 pages of sh**e :)
