    have you guys seen the PhysX processor? I saw an article about it at enthusiast.hardocp.com and it looks really cool. they actually showed the difference between a regular physics engine and the PhysX processor and it's unbelievable! i dont know if it would be worth buying but it looks amazing. check out this link and tell me what you think-

    Yeah you could've found this using the search, and you also could've put this in the hardware section, since its a piece of hardware.

    Anway, the whole point to having that PhysX board is having specialised dedicated cmputingpower to do physics calculations, and offload the CPU.
    Its exactly the same reason why we have hundreds of Mhz in graphicschips.
