    you know you can do

win+r then type winword/excel/etc to load up your office stuff right? (saves minimizing and clicking)

Or I can click the show desktop button on the quick launch then double click the icon. Just as quick.

    Who's that he says...

Unless I'm stupidly mistaken (and I could be, I've worked 11 straight hours...) that's Kelly Brook.

    My wallpaper.

aevitas :: you could make the backdrops of your folders see through for verly little overhead btw -- under the visual settings in my computer tick the 2nd one from the bottom -- (or third?) will make them see through D:

I installed Arch Linux on my old IBM Thinkpad T40 this weekend.
I was so impressed with the 3D effects I got from the tiny 32MB ATi Mobility Radeon 7500 that I thought I'd post some screenies:

    Mac OS X 'Expose' effect:

    A couple of effects here:
    1. 'The Ring' ( a horizontal windoze 'Flip3D' )
    2. 'Snow' ( animated background - the snow is falling irrespective of what you're doing on the desktop ):

    Finally, 'The Slab' (menu):

All on a DirectX7 card. It's certainly demonstrated to me what they mean when they say linux 'revives' old hardware!

@shagbag: that's impressive. i find beryl too slow to use on my system (see sig), but that might be because my 7600 is trying to drive 3 megapixels of display.
