I use a clean duster :) If there is a smudge, just lick my finger, rub around the smudge, and then dust the are until smudge gone!

Nice wallpaper by the way :)

Works suprisingly well on 3840x1200. Almost lines up perfectly in the centre.

Is this not upside down? I don't know of any modern engines with the cylinder heads at the bottom...

Must be - the oil reservoir wouldn't work if it was on top of the engine :p

I saw it on dA, so I had to grab a copy off the guy who upped it.

This is my work desktop. Hence all the clutter.

I do need to know more about that engine. It isn't a w, but looks like a pretty conventional v, only upside down...

I'm pretty sure it's just an inverted image or it was photographed upside down, if you look at the very top you can see what looks suspiciously like a drain plug and if you look at right hand cylinder head there is what looks like an oil filler cap.

Inverted V engines have been made but they use dry sump lubrication, a scavenge pump sucks oil from the crankcase and returns it to a separate reservoir where the main pump picks it up and pumps it to the bearings.

That took you guys a while. It is upside down, it's NOT American, and it uses dual turbos

So it was supposed to be some sort of subtle reference to being an Australian engine?

    Why bother?

Nope - just playing with GIMP - inverted and mirrored.

"BA Concords" Does the BA mean what I think it does or is it a designation.

Any way you slice it, the SR-71, I think, is the greatest plane...
