Now that is cool - what rainmeter theme is that and how did you get the text to line up across the bottom of the screen?

 

yeah I'm new to rain meter...how do you make your own icons (so to speak) like that?

Thought id brighten up my desktop

its the serenity theme. it has "launchers". they come with a standard default links but its really easy to change. if you going to your documents. so for me its in C:\Users\dan\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\Serenity\Group2 there's a file called userVariables. in that (open it with notepad) you can change where all the links are. so find where its says all the stuff about apps.

it is a bit buggy but its nice. when it doesnt work i just use the start options so is no big trouble.

should look like this.

App15=Origin
App15Path=D:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\Origin.exe
App15Label=Ea
App15Icon=

just change it so it fits. you can add an icon but i didnt so its just text.

i couldn't work out how to replace the the task bar so i just set it to hide. if theres a better way... please please tell me

Many thanks, I may just create something similar using a combo of rainmeter and rocketdock...might be a little easier for the uninitiated!
