Hi guys, and here is yet another casemod in the Samurai theme I love so much. This one is really in the early stages and I am building it in competition against 4 other modders in Germany for the annual Hardwareluxx Casemod Competition. So with every update there, I will post here too. We all have up to mid march to battle it out with a hardware package from Hardware Luxx. My case is called THE SAMURAI SAGAit is an hommage to the badly damaged but partially restored Samurai Sacrilegium Scratchbuild that was also in the Caseking fire. I hope that I can soon stand them next to eachother, Casecon and Casemod proudly at whatever event I attend. I even put together a poem in its honour. the first thing i did while waiting for the case to arrive is design some samurai fan covers. I would rather get hand on but i had to wait. now the case and hardware have arrived, I can actually stop the desk jockying and build this baby. here is the evolution of the fans. the 3d part is done, tomorrow i will start the wooden parts cut outs.
and here is the result of the fan printing. i took the nzxt fann aray apart and see i will have to drill some holes to mount these. wanted to make sure i wouldnt drill through a led or wire.
Oh btw. Europes largest and I think only Samurai Museum just happens to be in Berlin, so I popped by for some inspiration. I bought a tanto, that I am going to modify for this mod. i dont like the sheath as it is. it looks like a ***** so its has to change.

well. how do you know. even though its pretty obvious. i am a bagpiper, have an original scottish set of pipes, made in china
anddddd....... of course the evolution of the Tanto.. i simply didnt like the ***** like sheath, i wanted it more organicly old hand made look, not too sterile machine made type.
the difference between the black out of the box sheath and the new one.....the black version is much too sterile and precise. now its oldish and organic. has mor of a cultural look.
