OK I just bought Sims2 yesterday and after installing the 4 CD's
I finally get to the part where I can play the damn game, hurray!

Just when I press neighborhood and the camera is panning around the neighborhood no matter what I do the game crashes...it also gives an error message simply saying something like "The application has crashed, please restart" or something like that.

Anyways I've tried reinstalling it twice now and looked in the EA games support area on the website and still no help, they all seem to address drivers, dx9.0c problems blah blah.

I still can't find what's wrong all other games work fine on my Pc except for Sims, quite annoying as my friends who have sims2 (mostly girls  ) can all get it to work on their crap pc's -_-....

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I've always had that problem with Sims 1, thats why I've given up on playing the sims now, and have no intention of getting sims 2. My problem was that there was not enough ram in the system - there is now though... mite try the game out again...

yea, the game crashes to the desktop when in the neighbourhood, I suggest reinstalling the OS, that did the trick for me (for a while :worried: )
