Discussion in 'Project Logs' started by Alvin, 2 Feb 2005.

If this project suddenly ends and Alvin doesn't appear on bit-tech, it's prolly because his PSU got soaked ROFL!

I doubt his psu got soaked. He probly finished the project or just put it on hold because he probly has work and general life geting in the way.

Lets hope he updates the thread.

    Hi there all,
Jaguarking11 got me back on track, by PM'ing me.

I have been really low on money, and I have really wanted to find a pump that does not vibrate.

Then it turnes out that my own youngest brother has found the solution!
The smallest Danfoss pump... or was it a Grundfoss pump, anyway they are professionel water pumps, not just aquarium pumps. He's now using it with his two Zalman Reserators, after frying four of the original pumps.

I'll get back with the right data later, it's too late to wake him up now (00:39 here).

Now I just need to get some cash!! Where was it that I stumbled across that gold nugget?
Oh, it was in a dream. :waah:

Well, hope to be back later this fall. Gotta go on holiday with the kids for the next three weeks.

danfoss pumps are really good, they are designed for boats (most of them) and are REALLY good solid pumps, i want to source one for my project, as they dont vibrate too much, and also generate less heat than my l20

Talked to my brother about the pump.

It is a 230V Grundfos UP 15-14-B inline pump with 1/2" threading.

Here is a link to the Grundfos site about this line of pumps
Then select: "Product Range and Technical Data".

I have also located a supplier, though it is a danish supplier, and his website is only in danish. His website does not allow a direct link, but by clicking both of the following links, I was able to create a direct link.
Open privatgrossisten.dk Web shop and then Open a direct link to the Pump

This is the online store that my brother used. It is an online store only, but as it turnes out he lives less than 5 minutes from me, so I am sure I can talk him into shipping world wide, if needs be.

I have not seen the pump my self, but it is said to be the size of the largest of the Enheim pumps.
