My least favorite of all time had to be AOL but i am inteaseted to hear your opoions PS I realize i suck at spelling
try compuserve. it's used to be pretty decent years and years ago, but since aol bought it, it's crap. it's a crapped down version of aol.
everything AOL buy's becames crapped out vesrions of it's former self AOL just is tying to take over all of the smaller services who also cater to the not so computer savvy user who doesn't really understand about virueses sypware and the like so they can have themselves an monopoly
http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/Semtex Do it! As for worst, gotta go with AOL. Netzero comes in a close second. I'm proud to say I've never had either on my home connection, but I've done enough tech support for friends and family to know how much they suck.
juno? juno any one? used to be called "blue light special"? how about the wal-mart isp? it scares me that stores like walmart and kmart have their own isp's honestly, i'd rather someone i know go with something like aol that works half assed, but is easy to deal with, than something like juno that works half assed, but is less reliable and is a pain to deal with. cox always lead to funny sounding onesided phone conversarions. when i was working tech support, i walked past another guy who happened to say to the guy on the other end of the line "yeah, well, if you like cox, that's really great and you should keep them" now, i knew exactly what he was talking about, but it just catches you off guard when you're walking through a "professional" work environment and hear something like that. but anyways, the worst isp's are the crappy cheap ones that have no software or support.
I had the Kmart internet and Net zero years ago, before i got cable. They both worked good and where free. What sucked was a banner add but it was no big deal.
another vote for aol, bt were pretty apalling here too, not quite sure what they're like now, I tend to avoid them when possible
Demon gets my worst vote and BT haswas good to me before moving to university. Now I have a uni connection which is a bit flaky .
I think all broadband sucks, not because its slow but because its expensive. Its an unhealthy market competition wise. Its alot like your electric company. You got a certain company for that area and thats it. You dont like those prices thats fine. Sit in the dark. They grab you by the nuts to because once you get used to cable speeds anything else bites and they know that. combined with no competition and they just jack the prices to hell. so all you cable companies bite me....but dont disconnect me illl cry...
I pay $30/month for 4mbit down/512k up. That's for an always-on, superfast connection. If I paid the hourly rate for AOL it would be much much much higher. So I was forced to pay the unlimited hours rate of $25/month (this was a couple of years ago) for a crappy piece of software, and a slow connection (NEVER connected at 56K).
AOL Up untilla few weeks ago I used aol, used to drop out every 30mins give me subpar speeds, unplayable pings, and forced me to use thier software, needless to say once out you dont look back.
why the hell were you on AOL in the first place Gotta say AOL tbh. Thank god they don't send out CDs in Australia (at least i've never found one in my mailbox )
I get them monthly "OMGz!!11!! AOLz 9 just came OUt!!!11!! Lets send everyone a disk!!!!!!!1!!!oneoen!
im stuck with AOL, but i wouldnt say there the worst isp, theres tesco, which is really bad, and any isp that puts a limit on its services.
im with tesco and they do suck......... they cut me off because i had changed my card details, but they sent me an e-mail to say i'd been cut off morons.
Tesco does suck, my Aussie friends in my clan cant even play a simple game like df2 with out a ping of 999999999
