Damn me too, that seemed soooo long ago.
Wish I had the skills and tools to customize cases like you do...
That is why I ended up buying the biggest case that better suited my needs so I don't have to do any cuttings or too much customization since I don't want to destroy everything around me
Keep it up Angel
So you did... And I'm trying to forget it as well as it really is stuck in the back of my head that I need to get it in there!
Well it's been 3 months, and time is relative!
That's one way of doing it. But it IS a bit boring, isn't it?
Another boring update for you guys.
I'm in the middle of figuring out where everything goes in this case.
Since this is the build with the most room I've done, I actually thought it was going to be a breeze to just throw everything in there... Boy was I wrong...
But just because I'm lying on the floor staring at the case, does not mean you shouldn't have something to look at.
Since I need 2 pumps for this build, and only have money for a single Laing DDC I decided to bring in an oldie!
Some might already have guessed where this is going, and the rest of you... I guess you will find out!
The first babysteps, to make sure I can get started measuring everything for the re-build!
That's it for now! Always leave them wanting more!
C ya soon amigos!
Tease! I want to see more!
Angel OD pump modding or re-engineering rather always an awesome thing.
So I'm not sure if you make the impeller entirely on the mill or not, but I think you would get more performance out of it if you made part of it on the lathe.
I think I notice there that the impeller blades actually get bigger as they get closer to the middle. If you replicate this feature on the lathe, you will probably get a better pump. Do it!
Let's see how many pumps you go through this time
It's looking pretty awesome!
Heh... I see what you did there!
I still have nightmares about modding pumps! But since the one I made for the car actually still works, even after below -15 degrees centigrade, I decided to go for one more!
I think you migth be quite right my good man!
I made the impeller simple the last time on the CarPc build:
But that was only because I made it at a time I was planning to use real glass as the top, and the idea of making the curvature in glass didn't seem quite smart!
So yeah, I'm going to do it the way it's now, and mill the curve into the top!
Yeah... I'm betting pOPe is going to be in here very soon trying to jinx me!
But I'm going to go with the idea of not killing this one off!
Here we go again...lol
Looking good, seriously neat and tidy as usual..Top modding dude.
You'd think from all of the time spent doing the first pump mod that Angel would have given up by now. Talk about a desire for self-inflicted punishment.
Thats wicked sick maaaaan ! :O
He's either gotten the hang of it, or has a masochistic side...
Just remember your girl will kill you if the rig fails at a critical moment. Sometimes the extra for a trusted pump type is good.
Did I just jinx you before Pope could? I hope I didn't step on any toes.
^click it if you dare
Thanks man! And yeah, here we go again!
Thanks a lot!
Well, that's what I go for!
I'd go with "gotten the hang of it" - But you just never know!
I completely agree, but if I buy a pump it would have to be a Laing ddc/swiftech etc. to match the other one. If not I might as well give this one a go!
And of course we never know if it's gonna die in the making!
Well... Getting jinxed by a monkey or a pOPe... Since the monkey got to it first and I'm down with the theory of evolution - I'm screwed!
Btw, thanks pOPe...
I must say you always amaize me....not visited the forum in a while but I can always count on you amaizing me
Your avatar title is SO 3 years ago by now - go change it to "Crazy pump dude!".
This is very, very cool...
Spooky tripped out looking kitty
You really should get in here more often then! But thanks a lot man!
Thanks a lot Nutman! And I hope the Avatar is to your liking!
I'm pretty damn sure it's supposed to be!
