is it worth reprinting, or better to print the other part and glue the two parts together? What is the risk of the new print also having issues? I have never 3D printed, so I dont know the risks or best way...
This is not the final version of the case just first prototype that i can use for test fit everything. I will print the final case with petg. Now i am doing video of test fitting watercooling parts.
Ahhhh it was the tiny fan holes that were putting me off. I couldn't work out how you printed triple 120's in one hit. 310 x 33o i just went to print a mando helmet and realised it cant be done in one print on my 210 x 210 i can see the advantages of the larger bed. Looks like a CR-10 is on order this week
Little update, watercooling fits but its tight. i Have to do modifications to the pump mount but everything else looks nice.
Looks great, the design is awesome. Really like the combination of exposing the mb and gpu but putting all the more uninteresting stuff in the middle with the radiator.
Now i have all of the pieces to do proper test fit and little video about it. New pump mount and test feet. Front grill
After test fitting parts i made some adjustments to the model. I added six magnet holes because four isn't enough to hold front panel. Also added nut inserts for the mid panel and a hole for the pump cable that i forgot
Back part of the case is ready. I did little spacer between the parts because front part did not finish. But this way it looks good so i may have to keep it that way Now i just need some hardware to test fit everything before i can print the final case
Final piece of the puzzle is coming. Soon i can start The Thing Part 2 This arrived today This spool is so big i have to make holder because it is not going to fit in the printers original place
The more I watch your thread, the more I like "the thing" , it is definitely eye catching , the design, the color sheme, it's obvious that your mastering your printer, and BTW, I really like also your previous printed case: RVZ03WC, you have a real talent for case design
Nice work. A joint in the middle, solves almost all usability issues of the build. A really nice touch. Love the use of colors, which is easy to transfer to PETG. To me, there is a slight imbalance in the design. If the orange strips are of the same thickness, and there was one in the front, middle, and back, that would be more balanced. As in symmetric. That is more my expression though. I really love how you play with colors, this is way above the level I am at. Pure inspiration. Also, you could run through and through rods, like m3 or even m2 steel rods. That way you could even keep the spacers in the middle, if you wanted to. Just fasten them with a nut on the outer part of the main white section. Not sure how you were going to join these, never mind, if you got a working solution for it.
